What ever , all about his criticism etc, Lang Lang is one of the greatest pianist, front-runner pianist whom I ,including the whole world' will never forget of his incredible imnate talent embedded inside him.
should concert pianists be precluded from being themselves? if lang lang is naturally a funny guy with cute humor, let him be. why would he pretend to be one who is serious and wear a pokerface? he's just being himself period.
@greeky1 but it takes understanding from haters and morons with a low self esteem to put down someones talents when they lack of any talents other than just be haters! think about that! and I totally agree with you!
I agree about the charisma. He is clearly making himself vulnerable to people who are 1. jealous, 2. frustrated, 3. dull & boring, 4. etc.. Let's just enjoy his colourful presence in the classical music scene. Whether you agree with him or not, who cares anyway? I certainly hope he doesn't.
I agree about the charisma. He is also clearly making himself vulnerable to nasty comments by people who are 1. jealous, 2. frustrated, 3. dull & boring, 4. etc.... Let's just enjoy his colourful presence in the music scene, even if you don't always agree. Who cares anyway?
that only shows that he wants to win hearts and that he is commercially very smart! he doens't give a damn! but again.....this is just my opinion....if somebody likes mr. Lang...good luck! :-)
I think he is just a different breed of pianist. Most people just cannot accept his out of norms behaviors, personality from regular classical pianists. But honestly, we cannot deny his tremendous talent. The first time I heard his playing from his first CD. I did not even know who he is, just like a teenager. But, I was so impressed by his tone, beautiful. If you do not like the person, just listen to the music.
Every pianist is different. Some pianists are best at composing, therefore creating crazy music for shitty composers but amazing stage concert pianists to perform. Then there are people like Lang Lang who motivate younger generations to keep the classical world going. It all balances out-
@driemaaldrommels No worry. By saying this, you won't be popular but an absolute abomination. At least the "clown" WON the kids' hearts and cheered them up.
His Liszt is better than his Chopin.
