I don't find wepner arrogant at all. In the other hand , despite a great boxer and entertainer, Ali was always arrogant and a fucking clown. I have to say that Wepner has a whole lot of heart to do alot of the things that he did.
An insider was once quoted as saying that Wepner was limited, due to the fact that he never had the resources to properly train. Again, he was essentially an average guy and went along way with the heavy weight champion of the world. What he did was not an easy task.

yeah that Rocky was a GREAT movie ,but in rerality was pure bull shit. Ali beat the shit outta this guy it was not even close. There was no dramatic moment when they were battling head to head giving it all they had..No in real life Ali was able to do anything he wanted and simply tormented and played with Wepner until after he got bored knocked him out.

Sorry but your WRONG you need to watch it again more clearly . Wepner was never KO'd before & Ali KO'd him so what he it to the 15 round he just got whipped for 15 rounds . In fact he didnt go the distance he got knocked out in the 15th. Sigfrid, Muhammad, after all the years of hitting, had developed calcium deposits and his hands were hurting all the time, and the skin. He used to hit the speed bag barehanded, on purpose, until the skin was raw, then peel the rest off, wait for it to heal, then do it again, to try and toughen the skin, and he used to have to get shots for the pain. In some fights, he held back on his punches, he said the pain in his hands hurt more than getting hit. The fingernails, I don't know!
