I'm an absolute diehard Jaguar & Land Rover fan but its a shame to hear that Tata is going to be closing one of the two UK production plants and opening a production factory for this XJ and the new Range Rover Evoque in China! I suppose if they keep up the quality control it should be ok!

Nowadays, anyone who knows a lot about cars knows that a Lexus is far superior to a BMW or Merc from a technical point of view - quality/reliability/durability/technology etc. Just read the statistics, Lexus are even projected to overtake BMW in overall worldwide sales over the next year. But German cars always had high performance because of the way people drive over there, a lot of owners crave that.
Lexus &, until this year, Jaguar were never able to match up with the performance that German cars could offer, which as I said is actually very popular with a lot of people. I've been selling used cars from all brands for the last 15 years, & while I agree that people are attracted to the BMW or Mercedes badge, it is also the performance that attracts them, performance that you just can't find in a Lexus or pre-2010 Jaguar.
Oh and another thing. I'd buy this over Bmw, MB, and Lexus not only because I think it looks better than the others, but because the interior also looks great, the acceleration times are impressive, it's well priced, and the level of passion and craftsmanship behind it is astounding.
