great stuff, somewhat reminiscent of the album 'my life in the bush of ghosts' ; that sounds a bit like Percy Jones on bass, he did a lot of fretless bass in collaboration with fripp/eno in the late 1970's
@worldcitizenforever Hope you didn't think I was putting Richard James on the same level as Eno/Fripp. Of course Richard James was probably influenced by at least Eno, whether he admits it or not. I just meant this particular song(?) reminds me of some stuff I have heard put out by Aphex Twin. Peace.

I used to hate this song and think it was unlistenable shite until recently. I think the fact that they never finished it (or that's at least how it sounds to me) dosen't help either.
F&E made a good combo. I bought 'No Pussyfooting' when it first came out. It was a cheapie at £1.49 when the average album sold for £2.49. I loved it and it remains one of my favorites. The first 3 King Crimson albums were a prelude to no pussyfooting in a way, and after no pussyfooting KC lost its essence. Lovers of the first three F&E albums might enjoy Terry Riley's 'Persian Surgey Dervishes' and Steve Hillage's 'Rainbow Dome Musick' which are of a similar genre.
Yea, Fripp is absolutely the most essential member of KC (and I think the only person to be in every iteration). I can't remember who was the front man for KC in the 80s, but I guess that kinda proves your point hah.
About the song though, I thought it was about banality and 'modern life' and all that jazz. Compared to their other work it seems completely dull and as if it was thrown together in 30 seconds by some kind of music generating program they made back then.
I love it!!!!!!!!!

The lyrics or whatever, are kind of interesting. Music reminds me a little of Aphex Twin.
