This is so great, it made me cry watching it. I felt Randy's fear of rejection and angst not knowing how his dad would react. It's a tribute to Randy for having the courage to make that call and to his dad for having the courage to do what we can only hope more parents, siblings and friends will do... accept what they cannot change and love the people in their lives regardless of their sexual orientation.

God Bless you Randy. I was in the same position as you at 21, but had to stay in the closet. I wanted to make the USAF a career at that point, but eventually got too close to being exposed to risk staying in more than two tours.

Me 26 years ago, while I was in the military. His dad even sounded like mine. I got out on my own after my second enlistment. I knew what would happen since already had a partner for 4 years. It's been 28 years now. Randy doesn't have to be afraid anymore. Never in my life time did I think I would be able to say that.
