The demon won't chase you. You can just whack on Protect from Magic, and range/magic away until it's dead. Or cannon in this case. The quest is so easy if you have 43 prayer, even if you are a prayer pure! Level 10's could do it if they cannoned all the monsters, and had 43 prayer, really. Just depends how many range levels they get...
