Billions of Asians live on high starch diets of white rice and never get fat. Your theory is clearly flawed. A starch/fruit based diet is optimal for weight loss and health. It's the animal fats and proteins you want to eliminate; they, along with processed foods, are the root of nearly every degenerative disease known to man.
If you cut out all your starches, your basically doing the low carb diet and I did not have energy to work out doing low carb... I have energy when I eat my bananas, my brown rice, a slice of bread with an egg in the morning... etc.
this guy is a fucking idiot he don't know shit you need to have a little bit of everything in order to have energy. you need to have starches, little bit of sugars in order to have full energy and focus when your about to work out... or is he just talking about for the people that are aging at an older age is that was he's talking about?
@1skylinedreamz You do not need to have starches...do you believe everything the government tells you? Just because the food pyramid says you need to have a "balanced" diet doesn't mean its true. We existed on a no grain/low starch diet for the majority of human existence, grains only came to be about 10,000 years ago at the advent of agriculture. Honestly, from the looks of this guy he clearly knows a little bit about what he's talking about.
@mazhpereira Our culture has gotten into this destruction trend in whach we think we need a starch on our plate.... but we don't. A perfectly good lunch could be tuna salad and pickle on the side. Mix tuna, diced onion, mayo & bam. Or chicken. Or pork,
Try eating Corned Beef and cabbage more often.
When I make beef or elk stew, I use carrots but not potatoes. I like the carrots more anyway.
I love brussel sprouts, cook them a long time with onions, in broth & butter. A good side.
This was really informative. The hardest part I'll have to limit is potatoes... I love them. I know there are better pastas, like whole wheat. Same with bread. I don't have a problem with sugar... I love fruit, a much more natural source of sugar. But I love potatoes. haha
We stayed away from trans fats, artificial ingredients and opted for organic foods. We limited our meat intake, maybe poultry once a week and fish twice a week. Why did this diet work for us? We were muscular, had very low body fat, hardly ever got sick and had a very low at rest heart rate. Our doctor wouldn't let us eat sugary junk foods, he agreed with you there, but we were taught complex carbs are good for you, whether it be veggies, pasta or cereal.
Rene, I used to be a competitive cyclist, riding anywhere from 200-300 miles per week. My calorie intake was enormous and I stayed very thin naturally because of the calories I was burning off and the high metabolism. Our team physician had us eating more a "Mediterranean" diet. Whole grain breads, cereals, rice and pasta were allowed. We ate fruits, vegetables, yogurt and stayed away mostly from fats. Running out of room will continue...
Why no complex carbohydrates? I see most sportsmen (not only bodybuilders) eat a combination of good protein and some complex carbs (brown rice, potatoes...) for almost every meal. Why cut all carbs? Sorry, I'm just curious
I can't believe this doesn't have more views! You look great. I thought you were in your 20's or 30's.
What is your stance on saturated fats? My resources are somewhat limited, and fatty cuts of meat would be the easiest source of calories for me. Your videos have inspired me to change my way of eating.
Wow I do all 3 oh my god I used to be in the Marine Corp and was in great shape. As soon as i got out went from 170 to 250 in 5 years. so pretty much to lose weight all you have to do is eat protein's, salad, and fruits. I can see how that will work this is gonna be hard. I just went a whole mouth with 7 cigarets a week, alcohol once a week. Gonna get ready for the new year im cutting down all my habit's Im gonna bring the Marine out again. Any advice will be much appreciated.
