Fucking advertising... Where do people get off trying to cram their ridiculous products into a story such as this? Alaxender Supertramp would find it disgusting.
i saw the movie, very intense movie and eye opening but what got me was the ending, so horrible, kindof freaked me out a little, also awsome song choice it went with the movie perfectly
Love the part where you show the clips of when returns to the city after a while in the wilderness, feels like a total stranger and can't understand why people can't see the world like he does.
Although I love the soundtrack to this movie A LOT because Eddie Vedder did it so amazingly ( like all his other work), this still works for me.. breaks my heart, but works perfectly :)
I really do like this combination, it is very touching, Good job with this one! I never knew Chris McCandless(Alexander Supertramp! ) but feel I should have, somehow, cause I often feel this exact same way.....very nicely done, friend;)
We no longer have the ability to choose our masters as freely. There is no where to go where the all seeing eye can't track us if they want us. If you wish to leave a country, it's at a turn of events that you're allowed to be tracked internationally, criminal or not. There is no longer the chance to start again in a new village without the threat of your life being owned. We've gone from pockets of slavery to ownership that's only so different because we're lead to believe we're free.
Even in kingdoms long ago, a man who was not a criminal could leave it's safety, and beyond his or her own life was their own. Today there is no where left to leave too sans perhaps the open sea. There all is free game, or is it? There are those who indeed live pirate's lives but others who do not. Are we seeing that even the innocent may be declared as pirates and boarded at US discretion in international waters?
One way or another we all serve something. I think what troubles me is this....
An interesting and worthy watch. It's a shame that we must feel that the only way to truly be free is to have to alienate all others and cut all ties from society. For one, we are social creatures, not meant to be totally alone. Seems like however, if we separate from society, it's not even our right. Vacancy laws would give them right to track us down and dub us illegal. They re assert they have control and ownership over lands and trails they do not even patrol or upkeep.
Wow, this is probably the greatest video I've ever seen on Youtube that cut and pasted clips from a movie and put them to a song. Into the Wild fits PERFECTLY with this song, and I think you did an excellent job editing scenes from this movie to match when Thom sang the lyrics. Great job man.
Hippyish hobo with no common sense and a dangerous idealism; write a book, don't fool yourself into thinking you know enough to survive in the wild with no experience. Living in the bush is extremely liberating and nothing can describe how good it feels, but you need to be rough and knowledgable. He was just trying to escape his own mind
This story teach us how important it is in life to have dreams and hope. To, i don't know, just wake up one morning and feel that the sun is shinning, or just feel the beauty of a rose. If you, or me, or anyone in this world have a dream, a powerful dream, it's our obligation to, eventually, follow it. Sometimes we'll feel trapped, and sofocatted, but, when the time comes, we'll just have to deal the fact that following the dream is imperative, and it's absolutely neccesar to engage happiness.
@tonsoffun157 I ilke the song and I like the movie and I like that you are trying to do something with both. Just didn't work for me and I don't know why more articulately.
@GreatUnwashedMass Well, I do admit that it is very literal, and that is most likely why I chose the two together. I thought they matched perfectly. This was really just an experimentation with video editing. I'm no professional or anything, just something I felt like doing one day :)
I'm not here. This isn't happening. But it is.
When I first saw Into the Wild I thought it was stupid bull shit. Why would someone want to disappear?
I get it now.
