i thought this was a pretty hard tune in 1990 ( i remember thinking how extreme Lets Get Brutal/This Brutal House by Nitro Deluxe was in 1987 too!) Suppose Hold Me Back still is pretty modern sounding for 1989/1990. Same as the early Shut up And Dance stuff from 1989 is basically hardcore 2 or 3 years early!

if its 1990 well the actual sound of this song sounds more like it was made in 1994 rather then 1990/ it just sounds far too good to be really 1990. Even though then again the intrumental of this techno sounds even like yet todays music... not much has change but very interesting. I peraonaly think its 1993/1994 techno song not really 1990 but if it is then its wow.

This was a big pop hit...After Monkey Say and alarm Clock I was kind a dissapointed by this...but that's just my elitist opinion. Thanks for the up! It's apparent that listening to this tune, no matter its pop appeal, side by side to the video and it's obvious that today's musical invention in comparison has been well and truly surpassed by technology. Now we have so much potential and material at our hands but seem to lack all motivation to create...is it a reflection of today's apathy?

Not sure...clarification?! What I meant was that technological advances have surpassed the importance of humanity..it's all about gadget and gimmick over human input and feeling...sometimes the cruder the tools the stronger the message. I don't think 'dance music' should be looked at now the same way as before, that defies the idea of progression,but logically this can't be the end of the road. My concern is that there is little on that road now of any interest...in nearly all mediums.
