Nat, good to see your videos again! I really appreciate the details you highlight in your videos. You emphasize "do it right the first time " which is the way to go.
To properly recharge an a/c system. You need both the high and low side guages. Both the high and low side pressures need to be correct or you can damage your compressor. You also need to pull a vacuum on the system to remove any noncondensable gases. You also need to be sure the vacuum holds. Before adding the refrigerant.
@userchad2198 and you and the "experts" in your "field" rape people of their hard earned $ so you can over charge the masses to supply your beer and McDonald's diet.
I'll take my chances with the canned gas over the hot air from a mechanic.
the one thing i hate about expertvillage is that their videos are never longer than 2 minutes so one job is split up among 8 videos, which you can never find
Lots of people can really benefit from this video. Even I who knows the theory behing refrigeration can learn something from others. One should not brag about what they know, but try to learn more.
You should never use that bullsh*t stopleak. That destroys the heat transfer efficiency of everything it coats, much like having too much oil in the system. See how much money you saved when you have to replace EVERYTHING because your air isn't icy.
Did I mention it doesn't work?
How about it destroys the several thousand dollar recovery machine of any professional shop that unfortunately connects to your system.
good vid ,keep up the wood work

sharp if you need slicing, pointed when you need to puncture.

Where is your high side guage? Any decient AC tech knows that you can't properly charge a system with just a low side guage.
