  • very nice movie for thos

whos net is not much faster to see loonger video :)

    thanx

  • Yay! a case badge =D

  • I wish I had a guy like you around my hood..

  • nice hair =D

  • Going to grab this or somethign like it from corsair for sure. Had a cheap bestbuy psu named rocketfish... big mistake

  • rodney

you have long hair in the unboxing video

in the review you have a nice cut!

  • there are no computer stores where i live :'(

  • corsair 950w is noisy!! i would like to change to another which is silent like Chill innovation

  • @niels2029

My HX1000 is dead silent. Worth every penny, so far.

  • @BoogieWithStew LOL should have bought the hx series then... i can hear the fan in my cas! even when idle... thought the cheaper one would make me satisfied..... but only my psu is the only one thats not silent in my pc!! grrrrrr corsair........maybe if i put some cotton below the PSU it will be silent from the vibrations inside the case

  • @niels2029 If the fan is loud you can swap it out for a Scythe fan, or better yet, a Noctua fan.

Some foam pads should take care of any vibrations in the case, etc.

    Good luck!

  • ''they have this protective sticky tape on their logo'' hilarious rodney

  • why would they put it in a cloth bag? that's a bit over the top.

  • enough or i5 overclocked and hd5850?

  • Too big.. corsair 400-450w can easyly handle system like that..

  • @jeroeniskoning 750 is perfect

  • Easily..

  • I have heard that antec have released a new 850W power supply wich they claim to be better than the compeditors.

  • everybody claims theres is better :P

But antec can actually prove this so...

    but anyways, lol

  • Thats a great video highlighting a fantastic packaging of a quality product.

I'm sold on the product just from the packaging.

  • I've got the HX850W 850 watts PSU. I can easily use crossfire in my system. Check out the vids in my channel. You can see my gaming rig together with the HX850W and a lot of other stuff

  • When I mean burnt, the Hippercase got 100 ? degrees high- didnt dare running it, next the 12v+ was roasted at the connection to motherboard and behold the motherboard still works-nice quality I guess

  • Wow, sounds pretty lucky. 100 degrees Celsius is pretty hot, no wonder it burned out. This is why I always buy a quality PSU. There's nothing worse than baking (or nearly baking) a few hundred dollars worth of equipment because I paid 30 bucks for a shoddy power supply. The corsair PSU in this review might sound pretty expensive, but 150 bucks for something that'll run my computer solidly for the next 5-7 years is better than risking it.

  • i have an cmpsu-400cx. it is now modular. but still kick ass. it is 80 plus certified, but not 80 plus silver certified. it is good for mid range video card single setup.

  • Man i got one of these and i couldnt figure out how to open the box so i ripped apart the thing.

  • Great video! You still use a Sony HDR-SR12 to film...right? :D

  • A very good unboxing video, contimnue this way!

  • I recently bought the HX520W, and the packaging is nearly identical except for the lack of a cloth bag around the unit.

It's certainly a nice PSU, but still has a hardwired lead that I have no use for...

  • My experience is that there are to many cheap power supplys-Im on my third 1. 480w .Second a520w and this one 450w- they just dont cope with a gamingload for me they live 1 year- then I must buy a new one and Im about to buy a new one now- just maybe this one

  • Cheaping out on power supplys is a no no, especially for gaming. I definitely recommend corsair, they make great psu's and mine have both served me strong.

  • Brand and workload often make a huge difference. Are you going through power supplies because they're second-rate versions? Or are they insufficient for the amount of hardware in your case? A good rule of thumb is that the heavier the psu is, the better chance you have of getting a good one.

  • well bsa, I bought a quality PSU 480w Hipper but it burnt on my motherboard after about a year, then then the next one burnt 2(520w cheap) , now I dont care i got a cheap Delacto

  • Great video :)

  • I know which power supply I'll be buying next time

  • Corsair rocks !

  • Awesome, finally corsair is going modular

  • They've had modular power supplies for ages...

  • Mate... I was gona get the TX750 but it's not modular... this HX750 now does

  • Corsair is doing great with their power supply line up. I like how they keep things so clear. They even come organized out of the box.

  • i wish i had a good computer mine is slow mmmmm

  • Man I want one of those. If only it was $100.

  • Thank God it's not $100, the quality is too high for that low a price :P.

  • Yeah I know. But I can dream can't I?

  • I love the bag it comes in, I built a pc for my friend recently and the psu came with that bag....I kept it lol. It's really soft

  • remember not to cut too deep :-)

  • thats what she said

  • Rodney looks worn out...

  • He's not 16 anymore, you know?

  • You would too if you made this many videos! Lol.

  • very nice packing, sticker too

  • How's this different from CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX, just more cables?

  • Modularity.

  • The one hes showing right now, is of modular design.

  • It's modular mate.

  • Modular, higher efficiency, and its blue.

  • You must review! I've been thinking about getting a new PSU, and I've been leaning towards this a lot.

  • YES he must! this looks like a PSU that i want, for my new 250GTS 1GB im getting

  • Rodney, i suggest that you review the inside of the PSU too.

  • I've been looking at this PSU for a while. I want it. ;)

  • What PC do you use as your own? And what are the specs? Thanks.

  • He has the best of the best i kno he has 2 gtx295

  • Robbaz (on youtube) also got 2 GTX 295, i7 920 not sure how much ram tho. He's PC is the best i've seen on youtube so far.

  • i think he has single GTX 295.

  • No, I think he got Quad SLi.

  • no way i dont think you can even do that.

  • You could get quad sli setups since the 7 series...

  • I meant I dont think he can even do that because he has 750w power supply and i7 at 4.2 ghz running.

  • A decent 750W PSU would be capable of that system so long as he isn't running any high power TECs.

  • You can't? Well there is 2 video cards in 1 GTX 295 if you didn't know that, it's 2 GPU's in each card, so if you got two GTX 295 you got 4 gpu's or also called quad sli. You didn't know that did ya?

  • hes got 2x gtx295, he mentioned it in one of his Q&A vids i think

  • corsair makes the best PSU's

  • enermax is very good too

  • looks like a mini hx1000 :P = great

  • Great unboxing. Remember not to cut too deep because you could damage the product that's inside the box.

  • this came out like a week after i got my Corsair TX750W which really pissed me off

  • when I build my computer I was gonna buy this PSU :D

  • They should have released this before I had bought UCP 700

  • Looks good!

  • Not bad!

  • Finally he's going to do a review of an HXxxxW!

  • how much?

  • Are there any differences between this and the TX power supplies (aside from the modular leads, of course)?

  • Well i know that the 850HX has x6 6/8-pin leads as opposed to the TX series which only have x4 6/8-pins. Also I know the HX series are slightly more efficient.

  • Really a 100% Kick ass product.. masterpiece

  • man, id get it just for the case badge

  • i bought this power supply but in a 850hx it's sweet. can support 3 way sli. but i'm going to be using it for 2 way sli on my gtx 260 oc 55

  • Looks like a KICKASS PRODUCT!!!

  • i just can't wait to see Rodney smile at the end of the review "kickass product" XD

  • Rodney: This is a (:D) KICKASS PRODUCT!!!

  • in hv TX650 :D

i like the badge.. its COOL..

  • do you want to buy one ? i have like 78 of these ...

  • no you dont

  • 3dgameman is pro at unboxings now

  • Hey rod, you should just make a video on what rails are, then you can just say "To understand this, you need to know what rails are." Then put an annotation with the link to the rails video.

  • @Totenhosen17 That's a great idea. Then he doesn't have to repeat himself in every video.

  • wow.. loved the box

  • As soon as I have money to burn I'm going to replace my TX650W with this because it's modular and has better cables. I don't even need the extra power but want a neater case :D

  • This unboxing video is actually better to watch than watching the PSU video reviews which are very repetitive with the "what rails are"

  • looks like a 100% kick ass product to me

  • nice vid, ill be getting the 650w psu from corsair for my new pc..

  • sexy lolz

  • Corsair makes the best stuff. I've had my TX750W for a few months now and I'm loving it. Reliable, sturdy, everything you'd want in a PSU. It's a little overkill for me right now, but if I get another 4870 I'll be taking full advantage of what it has to offer.

  • beautiful power supply ;)

  • whoosh for a sec their i thought it was like a new hx1000w i just bought the freaken power supply ~-~

  • Excuse my sarcasm, But I just love a pretty box lol

  • love it.

  • finally,they made a modular 750w ,,,GJ Corsair@

  • Do you move to other house/office when doing reviews ? Your Q&A videos are in filmed in another place :)

  • Same place, different angle.

  • i would have liked to buy this one but it is too expensive for my new build. i will most likely upgrade to this in a few monthes.

  • They have other HX and TX models.

  • thanks. i will look into those.

  • wow thanks 3dgamerman i am getting the hx850 thanks i hope you can give us some cable lengths for these psu thank you

  • I hope to post a video review on this product later today.

  • Great unboxing rodney:D
