  • RIP PJ, our darling five year old Irish Wolfhound, shown in this clip. Very sadly, PJ had to be put to sleep this afternoon. He was given six weeks to live seven months ago so he has done really well. In the end, his tumour had grown so big, he was so weak and he was losing so much blood that we had no option but to let him go. We are grateful to have shared our lives with you for five years. You were so special and we will always love you, PJ. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • great dane = better dog who let the dog's out lol

  • Seaford in East Sussex, England.

  • wow cool dogs!! by the way where is the video taking place??

  • @matthew13131

    Seaford, East Sussex, England.

  • How much does that IWH weigh???

  • 18 stone / 252 pounds!

  • lol its funny how they look like normal sized dogs til they run up to the person standing there, then its "whoa! those things are huge!"

  • wait...which one is the lighter fur'd one?

  • Lol, great danes are these gigantic dogs, and then the wolfhound comes in and makes the dane look like a puppy.

  • it's better if both irish wolfhound and great dane have longer life span

  • Which is taller? or bigger? between an Irish wolfhound and a kurdish kangal? which is better suited for children? btw, my doberman would always want to be the top dog. :-)

  • Some GD's are taller than some IWH's, but according to the American Kennel Club, the IWH is the tallest breed (on average I guess). Those are some amazing animals, thanks for sharing.

  • You're welcome! For the record, our Irish Wolfhound is quite a lot taller than our Great Danes. He was only a puppy in the video so he's much bigger now!

  • @gritloyal a GD is 85-100 cm tall, and a IWH 70-90cm.....

  • @GettingPwnd okay, okay, you're correct...there was once a 100cm Great Dane named Gibson. My comment, however, was that the tallest "breed" is widely considered to be the Irish Wolf Hound. Just google "tallest dog breed"...after all, everything on the internet is true, right?!

  • @gritloyal Not everything ;)

    wikipedia is very untrustable

  • wolf hound is the bigest dane is second biggest

  • Nope, record has mostly been held by wolfies, yet Gibson was a lovely freak and took that record. Who really cares though, both are lovely breeds who would never hurt a fly

  • I had a great dane when i was younger. Fell in love with him. Was just wondering how much a great dane actually goes for now? Im interested in getting one :)

  • I hear pure breads like 3500 but idk depends

but resues like 350 at the most im gonna rescue one soon I hope

  • Nah, pure bred GDs are about 800 Quid in the UK, Wolfies are about 1000.

  • oh idk how many quid = one usd ill look it up

but I have a rescued french bred great dane and he cost 750 with his papers and all

  • My 2 favorite breeds right there! Nice video. :D

  • Thank you!

  • a dane and wolf hound .. damm thats a full time job

  • Two Danes, one Wolfhound and one Greyhound. You are right - a real handful!

  • Gorgeous, both of them!

  • They are gorgeous but they are also pains in the bum!

  • HAHAHAHA! Thats great! Now Im really wanting one!

  • I love the personality of Danes but Irish Wolf hounds look like a lot of fun too!

  • Our Wolfhound was only a puppy then and is much bigger now. Wolfhounds are much more laid back than Danes. Your puppy looks gorgeous!

  • which dog is the tallest, and how tall?

  • I do like Danes VERY much BUT once you've had a Wolfhound your'e hooked forever, and I tell you this truthfully I would rather 10 Wolfies in the house than my daughter's 2 kittens, they may not be that big but JEEZ wot a pair of pains in @rse's they are !

  • looks like your england ....lol

  • Yes, we're in freezing England!

  • hehe

i visited my dad there for summer

    i'm going back next summer

and probably ever summer after that

    lolz

i love it there much better than the U.S.

  • thank u Jenny for ur comment

    nice video be happy

  • geez i thought great danes were big, that other one looks pretty big himself.

  • He was a puppy then and not full grown! He's much bigger now.

  • caucasians ovcharka is the best

  • I've just looked them up. They look gorgeous.

  • My Wolfie is timid with the water but she's a beast in the woods!!!

  • Our vet used to call our Wolfie the most laid back dog in Britain. BUT he's two tomorrow and he's now becoming a bit of a beast!

  • my beautiful dog has an irish wolfhound father and a great dane mother. What a great combination!!.

  • Can we see him/her?

  • I don't have any videos, only pictures.

  • Sounds gorgeous!

  • personally i prefer the wolfhounds...i am not sure why but when i look into the hounds eyes i see ...more...its hard to explain but thats just my two cents if people dont like it just ignore me.

  • Everyone's entitled to their opinion and people will always prefer some dogs to others. Personally, I love all giant dogs - that's why I've got five!

  • lol my IWH won't go in water neither, unless it is a shallow muddy pond or extremely large puddle. Actually my dog is the image of yours

Lovely your Danes are having a ball.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Yes, wolfhounds love getting filthy, don't they? He was only 18 months old in this video but just keeps on growing!

  • annoying music

but the dogs are beautiful :)

  • Thank you Jenny, fabulous video. Yes, your blue boy is exceptionally handsome and proud. Your Wolfhound is funny...'just dipping Mum..'

I can see what you mean by all the stones, but it doesn't seem to bother them - your dogs are having a fabulous time! x

  • Great movie and great dogs. I really enjoyed watching.

  • Really good video!!! The wolfhound is thinkgine, "NO WAY, I'm not going in!!!!"

  • You must know my wolfhound! That's exactly what he's thinking. LOL.

  • Absolutely WONDERFUL!!! That blue boy is VERY handsome!

  • Thanks - I'll tell him! The original owners had treated him so badly that, when we got him, he couldn't even walk properly.

  • Two of my favorite dogs. Fab!!
