  • I may be being an idiot, but why not just go for a rear naked choke?

  • The calf slicer isnt nothing but a 4 horseman or scorpion death lock inverted mma fans are awesome like the wcw! No joke!

  • How would you do a calf slicer off you back?

  • It's a calf crush, I do that a lot from that exact set up.

  • So if by Scorpion Death Lock do you mean basic sambo calf slicer?

  • @GracieBarraCostaMesa

Scorpion Death Lock sounds way cooler :)

  • * * * * *

  • how can any of you take this seriously?.... Look away from the video and listen... your all IDIOTS!

  • So by driving your own foot into the crook of his knee and levering his leg down, you're expanding the knee joint?

  • Who gave it the name "Scorpion death lock?"

It's just a normal calf crusher. You can get it from half guard also. Dumb name sorry.

  • @2StepMurder Scorpion death lock sound way too cool

  • @TheSword92

But they stole it from sting, my favorite wrestler D:

  • @2StepMurder lol,

  • So it's pretty much the lazy version of the crush from "Truck" position. I like it!

  • OH NO! where is his hair?!?!?!?!? :(

  • what amazes me, is that no matter the topic or the quality of the presentation, there's always some idiot (and you know who you are) that post about how "this wouldn't work in a real fight" or "a guy with (insert whatever secret fighting style you know here) would kick your ass. Wow! There are so many bad ass fighters out there....I am shaking! STOP IT you idiots. This was a great video and informative technique that you can try to use one day. Enjoy and shut up!

  • @aminevich bet somebody thought the Twister would not work in a real MMA bout...

  • Im just a white belt, and at my school they are not teaching any leg locks to us yet. They scare the shit out of me. If some MMA guy comes over and kneebars me, I just tap instantly...

Everyone talks about the heel hooks like they are some mystical power. It's crazy that there is so much stuff that I havent even seen with the legs in terms of submission. Still trying to learn to do a decent armbar, lol:(

  • @Kalferzu There's nothing wrong with that. In fact, I'm still working on being able to do a decent arm bar. Follow your instructor's advice and stick with it. Eventually, you'll learn all you need to know. Basics are the foundation and what enable you to do all the other stuff. My favorite stuff is the simple beginners stuff. Check out our Long Sit Out clip with Coach Robinson. One of my favorite clips.

  • @Kalferzu Its not that they are magical, but you DONT have time to tap before serious damage is done. I have trained with guys that fight MMA, and we never trained with heel hooks. Practice the escapes over and over, but never when sparring full speed. It takes half a second to end a career and inexperienced guys hurt people the most often.

  • There is room to improve that move : put your left triceps between butcheeks (no chance for crossface) if opponent roll forward -keep lock and roll with him then triangle your legs use hands to pull and you got tap.

  • thank you very interesting,,HIZA-HISHIGI(Knee Crush or Dislocation) in judo

  • i think its also called a calf slicer

  • That lock was pretty nice. Kudos and the instruction was wonderful.

  • i need a pair of those earrings

  • Thanks this was helpfull but if u have one foot caught inside by someone your usually screwed lol just saying.

  • Calf slicer?

  • Money. That's wicked. I've got big feet & long legs, which I think'll be an asset for this one. I may have even got it one time by accident, but it was much more clumsy and awkward. Love the setup and the fake!

Quality stuff as always lads. Hope the site rakes in the dough!

  • Asians are funny, they get so easily offended. That's how people with inferiority complex are. Cough... small penises... cough.

  • I wonder if I can use this in NAGA tournaments. is this considered a toe hold?

  • @DonutsRGreat

This is a compression lock/slice/crush, and so would be legal in NAGA No Gi tournaments as it is not a foul or illegal technique according to the rules

  • nice video

  • What an amazing move. That seems something similar to catch wrestling.

  • @monstervison6 It is. In CACC, it's called "Inside Grapevine With Toe Hold." There are two basic variations: 1) reaching through his legs and grabbing the nearside foot and cranking up/back (Karl Gotch variation); 2) reaching over the tailbone and grabbing the nearside foot and cranking the same way. These guys are showing how to apply it against a BJJ "Turtle" defensive position which is more flattened than the standard wrestling/CACC all-fours (par terre) position.

  • @yoshiofdeath ...or "Rear Leg Ride to Ball-in-Chain w/Calf Compression Toe Hold"... or... eh a name's a name...

  • Just remember not to accidentally death lock your own leg.

  • Excellent grappling technique guys!!! Especially by pointing out the leverage of using the toes not the ankle to complete the move before locking it with the other foot. I often show students to use the top of the head(crown) for leverage not behind the neck when trying to turn an opponents head. Great demonstration! Thanks.

  • I was just wondering if you could post some videos on how to do basic knee locks etc, for beginners .. It would be very helpful . thanks !!

  • @emmetlalor92 Search on youtube for Eric Paulson leglocks. Should come up with a million amazing videos.

  • Good thanks bud, when you goto throw your other hook in alot of times I under hook that knowing they are going for that then go out the back door. Just keep that in mind kk thanks

  • Jay, not sure if you've checked these out yet but I just put up 3 more videos for you and the turtle/quarter position. • @s1n1wal1 You the Jay they mention up front? Thanks for helping make this video happen!

  • sickkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

    love it thanks

  • This lock comes from sambo. Good one!

  • I would try this out simply cos of the name. Anything with"death lock" in it must be fuckin bad ass lol

    Good vid guys.

  • Tight. I knew that move but thanks for making me aware of the use of the other foot. and thanks for your other video, bracchial plexus cutter. Good stuff

  • Awesome name and tech!

  • cool as hell!

  • are white belts allowed to do that?

  • @hallmonitor98 in bjj comp. no.

  • I would think it would be more practical to pull him back into the banana split position and attack from there.

  • can you pull this sub off from half-guard? it seems like you end up in a sort of half-guard position anyway.

  • @dboyzero yes you can. Just bump like you would for a back take and you're there.

  • You shouldn't grab it with both hands because if the guy rolls to his left and puts his right leg over your face he can armbar your left arm.

  • Yeah, I actually accidently popped someone's knee with this move a while back. Not anything that required a surgical fix but caused them issues for a while. There was a loud, noticable "POP" sound then I let go. This certainly isn't just a pain compliance move like most people believe. You can mess up someone's knee pretty bad if they don't tap.

  • gud vid

  • This has been a long standing favorite.

  • Not sure on the vale tudo tattoo o_O

  • Great videos!

Very happy I subbed to your channel!
