Having a very low vision or none at all is totally an aching situation as pursuing the day to day life may entail several struggles. So the birth of technological devices, which are particularly designed to assist this group of people, is providing them a great relief and convenience. I hope this technology will come into fulfillment in the near future, indeed.
Hi, My name is Nikhil, my team & I developed this cane.First of all, thanks to both of you for the feedback.This was our senior design project. It's the 1st prototype, and practically it is quite inconvenient. We developed 2nd prototype which is much more compact and sturdy. Other mechanical modification can be made, however this being an electrical engineering project, we were not able to focus on that. We believe it's a good idea, and with proper support we can make it implementable in future.

SupportTheBlind: what would limit you from using this technology? I am blind also and think it's a great idea.

Good technology but not realistic. Like I am legally blind and I would not be possible for me to use it.
