Well, you may be in luck some time in the future. The source code has been leaked, prompting comments about flying pigs. If you haven't heard of source code before, it's basically like the coding that makes up everything in the game. If that lies in the hands of some very fortunate fans, they can do all kinds of cool stuff with it.
Improving the AI is a handful of gold coins compared to the dragon's treasure cave that is the source code for Thief 1 and 2.
Okay, Duke, here is the Christmas song: On the 12th day of Christmas that Garrett gave to me: 12 Downwinders 11 Angry Bluecoats 10 Smelly Burricks 9 Builder Children 8 Drunken Guards 7 Ugly Spiders 6 Scary Zombies 5 Mechanists 4 Hammerites 3 Pagans 2 Keepers And a taffer that steals for free.
Based on the two comments that I posted in the Assassins video about the Thieves Guild, the only question that I have for you is how long will it be before you do a playthrough for the Thieves Guild mission? If it takes quite a long time please let me know.
I know something about the mission (even though I have never played the mission; I have seen my father play it as well as another YouTube user), Duke, to begin with the Restaurant and the Overlord's Fancy are not extremely large so those two areas will be straightforward. Besides, once you are in the Overlord's Fancy there is a roulette wheel on the table and if you spin the wheel it opens the secret entrance to the Guild.
Furthermore, going through the secret entrance to the Guild will be much better than going through the guarded entrance because you will not have to alert the two Downwinders who guard the guarded entrance.
Also, when you get to Donal's Mansion, his place won't be too tough because Donal's prison area, and the first and second floors of Donal's Mansion are not that large of an area. Reuben's Mansion will be a little bit harder once you get to the first floor because the first floor of Reuben's Mansion is a bit more complex than the basement or the second floor.
If you are in Reuben's Mansion, then as I said before you would have to deal with that big green spider in one of the prison cells in the basement of the mansion.
That's alright, you can still kill the spider while it is trapped in the cells just as long as the Broadhead Arrow does not hit the bars. I had this experience when I killed the the big green spider in Mynell's warehouse in the Shipping...and Receiving mission in Thief 2.
I know what mission in which this Thief Foolery video is, Duke. That mission is the Undercover mission in which Garrett breaks into the Hammerite Temple to steal the Talisman of Air (Thief Gold only, if you were playing the original Thief you also would have to steal the Talisman of Earth).
BY THE BUILDER'S HAND...

Do all hammerites wear high heels?
Also, why not just kill the bastards, that's provocation?

@MedlarGW
The hammerites shoes are designed to let other hammers know that they are not villains or nails :P.
As for the killing, that would spoil the fun. You can't annoy a dead hammerite...unless he's lying on the ground a certain way *gets holy water*.

I haven't played the first two games yet, I need to get round to that.
But the undead Hammers are dead creepy...if you pardon the pun.

Duke, I'm trying to make videos of thief too, but I'm new to virtualdub. How do you compress the video?

I loved this whole series...but geez, how dense can the AI get?

How in gods name are you able to pass those guys when you've obviously have been in the light and blocking ones path?

I cheated. I used dromed.
TheDukeofMania 2 years ago
Ah, what did you enter in dromed to achieve that?

No offence.
Also lol at this video. "Where has that gone?" when they just saw him steal it right in front of them.

That depends on how well I know the place. It will probably take a long time.

1st comment: I've completed the mission several times (not to be rude).
2nd comment: I used the secret entrance every time.
3rd comment: Right now, in my playthrough, I think I'm in Reuben's mansion.

Actually, no. I can waltz past it because it's trapped in the cell. It will try to chase you, but the bars will block it.
