Without looking, these guys strike me as Northeastern or Canadian as there's an overwhelming lack of rhythm and drive. They're in time/tempo but it's as stiff and cold as it can be. It just seems loose and disjointed; definitely not my thing.

It's your opinion but I've been around and am friends with too many good musicians (including national and multi-state champions) to think these guys are tight or amazing. This stuff is like jazz fusion where guys do their own thing then occasionally get together. To each his own though. It's just not what I enjoy.

I think your last sentence is the truth. There are thousands of succesful performers because of taste varience. I have sung publicly over 3,000 times and write n record music. Lots of regional people ask me to join their recording sessions. Personal taste. I like some Bowie, but, only some. And Travis Tritt, and PETER NERO!!!! mmmmm and ugh, some hot hip hop dance stuff.

Its what a person enjoys. About once a week I MUST watch some Krall on youtube. She moves me to sing with her.
