The thing about GW1 that I liked was that it was based around skill rather than how long you've been playing. Everyone got to the max level early so the thing you had to focus on was strategy rather than grinding for levels.
@goruu lol not really. im pretty damn sure i know what im talking about. plus even if it was title grinding what effect would that have on the games gameplay? because i dont know anyone that title grinds. because you can basically get titles just by playing the game normally. and if anyone title grinds its the players fault not the games fault. so it should have no effect on the gameplay.
The best part of GuildWars has always been the EPIC landscape, responsive controls (I mean, you can interrupt 0.5 second casts), and storyline. Most Free to Plays are complete and utter CRAP with nonstop grinding and cashshop gear. I played WoW, GuildWars, and PerfectWorld. By far, GuildWars kept me going the longest (over 4 years) whereas I got burnt out with WoW and PerfectWorld within a few months.
@ChickenWingsRGood well i got bored by gw1 after 1-2 weeks but i agree the controls were good, it had a large scale full of detail and the story line was good. im glad they broguht these elements back to gw2 except they are enhanced and theyve addded so much more. i didnt like gw1but i think gw2 will be the best game ever made.

@GaMzyProductions If you can run all of those games, then you'll be able to play Gw2. That is for certain. As ArenaNet have said that they're trying to lower the minimum requirements as much as possible so that the mass of their fans are able to play their game. They're not pushing to have only those with the greatest gaming rigs to be able to play their game.
@iliescosmin The developers at ArenaNet said they were trying to make the game able to run on very low powered computers and high ones by tweaking the settings- don't worry so early before the release date xD
@iliescosmin You're not able to buy or play it yet, nor does anyone even know the exact minimum spec requirements needed for the pc (even though developers have said that they're trying to optomize it to lower the requirement as much as possible). There has only been demo gameplays at conventions thus far for Gw2, so no crying. :P
Good news though is that it has been confirmed to have a beta in the second half of this year.

@Jensgp1 You can just buy Gw2 to play it. As Gw1 and 2 are entirely different games with the only thing in common would be the lack of a subscription fee and the continuation of the lore (which I should mention takes this game 250 years into the future from the first one).
@Jensgp1 Yeah, I'd dive into Guild Wars 2, but if you wanna get a little bit of "feel" for the Guild Wars franchise in general, then I'd go and play Guild Wars 1. Plus it'd be a great way to pass the time, and by the time you finish the campaigns (maybe even along with the extension campaigns), Guild Wars 2 will come out and you'll be all set to go!
Guild Wars 1 was a good game, but I feel Guild Wars 2 is 10000000000000000000x just by the gameplay I've seen! :D. Enjoy!
I like that you have a "single player" quest chain tailored for your own character and a small part of the city is instanced to be your "home district" where these quests have a permanent effect. Adds a sense of individuality and original RPG feeling. Game looks epic, it has almost everything I looked for in MMO's for years but haven't found them. Wow is the closest to a good MMO experience on the market, but it' not good enough IMO. Hope this game will be a success.
That's all fine and dandy, but I hope there isn't going to be massive server lag from the servers having to stream that to every user. I hate it when developers skimp out on the servers.
@GeekingForJesus I believe I heard that the world will be made up of large zones so that players wouldn't be experiencing horrible lag issues and wouldn't lose immersion from the world easily. Plus a rumor I heard recently is that it would take 15+ minutes on foot to reach another zone but I can't confirm that, as from what I've seen in demos, the only places I've seen zones so far would be in towns.
@LeonZapphire Good to hear. I'd hate for that to be a problem. But the biggest issue to me is it not being fully voiced. Actually, with The Old Republic being fully voiced, I can't stand reading quest text in MMORPGs anymore, lol. But I'll probably still buy GW 2 since there's no monthly.
@LeonZapphire I heard that too, but that doesn't mean that 1 feature film is 1.5 hours worth. It probably means that 1 feature film includes 40 minutes of dialog. Still, that's the most voice over in a game that I know of besides TOR. Which, I had actually forgotten about that fact about GW 2, so now I'll definitely be buying it.
@GeekingForJesus I wasn't insinuating that it was over an hour per feature film. They even said that you will never have to read text or accept anything to quest in this game. As you hear or see things happening, it means you can simply move in to do the event as you naturally would help someone in rl with some random situation.

I've seen people pick up what looks like quests from npcs that have a green marker above them if they wanted to read something and do it, so I imagine there's optional quests that you can do that you wouldn't normally just see happening. And events are not random luckily. lol They run under different conditions of whether a player is around, players started a chain of events, failed a chain, and sometimes events go on where nobody is at. lol

I have been a WoW player for 5 years now... And I personally think that this game will not destroy wow, it's player base is too strong, but however it will be bigger than wow in my opinion. More players will be drawn to it due to it's graphics... But then Star Wars: The Old Republic will come out and it will DESTROY ALL!
One can easily tell that the armor in this game is brilliantly crafted - the concept art and in-game screenshots are phenomenal as well.. I mean, really, who doesn't want to wear that armor at 0:34 .. D:
@Kkcomics When I think about it, the design is kinda neat for that armor. I just really dislike the color on it in the vid, but luckily the armor's colors can be changed quite a bit.
I don't mind that this game has taken a long time to be made. too often games are released quick these days to make the quick money. They often come out incomplete and buggy. Here is a team that are really taking their time to produce a game which in my opinion is going to be amazing! Good on them. I'm looking forward it!

@LeonZapphire I heard that too, but that doesn't mean that 1 feature film is 1.5 hours worth. It probably means that 1 feature film includes 40 minutes of dialog. Still, that's the most voice over in a game that I know of besides TOR. Which, I had actually forgotten about that fact about GW 2, so now I'll definitely be buying it.

@GeekingForJesus I wasn't insinuating that it was over an hour per feature film. They even said that you will never have to read text or accept anything to quest in this game. As you hear or see things happening, it means you can simply move in to do the event as you naturally would help someone in rl with some random situation.

@GeekingForJesus I'm not entirely sure about that. I've seen people pick up what looks like quests from npcs that have a green marker above them if they wanted to read something and do it, so I imagine there's optional quests that you can do that you wouldn't normally just see happening. And events are not random luckily. lol They run under different conditions of whether a player is around, players started a chain of events, failed a chain, and sometimes events go on where nobody is at. lol

I have been a WoW player for 5 years now... And I personally think that this game will not destroy wow, it's player base is too strong, but however it will be bigger than wow in my opinion. More players will be drawn to it due to it's graphics... But then Star Wars: The Old Republic will come out and it will DESTROY ALL!

One can easily tell that the armor in this game is brilliantly crafted - the concept art and in-game screenshots are phenomenal as well.. I mean, really, who doesn't want to wear that armor at 0:34 .. D:

@Kkcomics When I think about it, the design is kinda neat for that armor. I just really dislike the color on it in the vid, but luckily the armor's colors can be changed quite a bit.

I don't mind that this game has taken a long time to be made. too often games are released quick these days to make the quick money. They often come out incomplete and buggy. Here is a team that are really taking their time to produce a game which in my opinion is going to be amazing! Good on them. I'm looking forward it!
