I think in Aileen's case (movie talk only) I think she never really knew her orientation, sex was just a part of her everyday work, a chore even. Maybe it wasn't Shelby's gender that made her fall for her, just the fact she gave her that attention she never had before. It happens to a lot of people, even men. You just don't hear about it.

She played in many box office movies (like Sleepy Hollow with Johnny Depp), but was never given much credit. MY favorite movie by her is "Prozac Nation". She was sort of a bitch in that movie, but really played her part well. And she was much hotter!

@copnite 12342. i was watching it in order so i hadn't seen that part. i hated that part of the film. it was very unjustified. i also don't know everything about aileen's case, but if it were exactly as the movie stated (which, of course, it can't be) then i think the first murder was definitely justified. definitely. there's no doubt about it for me that the first guy who beat and raped her deserved it.
