  • Does anybody have any other video or pics of this track or Clay city around this time? I'm lookin for something anything of my dads old racecar. It was a 68 dodge charger orange in color. Or if you lived in lexington he owned a sunoco station on new circle road in the 70's.

  • does anybody remember or have pictures of Bobby Dunaway's rail that he raced here ?

  • NO that car I think your looking at is not a GTO but a 1963 catalina covertable. I had a 61 and later a 65 Bonneville convertible. I have a 1964 catalina now. The 65 was the best damn car I ever had. It had a 421 cu. in. engine with Tri power carbs. with a little engine work and 4 speed. The 64 I have now has a 30 over 455 that makes it 462 cu. in. 466 HP. fun car. Who in the hell am I talking to. call me @ Robinson Auto. thanks.

  • made many runs down that track. in the 60's and 70's. clay city is more fun but glad to see this now that i am 62 years old. I still race. any one want to run. call me. I'm willing to go. P. S. my cars are a little faster now. thanks.

  • Hey Kenneth, is that your green GTO covertable?

  • I wish I could go back to those days. I used to go to the dragstrip on 27 all the time when I was a teenager with my girlfriend and now wife of over 31 years. The drive inn was right down the road.which we went about every weekend. There has not been anything like the 70`s. Thanks for the memories.
