thinking about buying that rifle but im a little put off that the stock is apparently pinned in the most rearward position, are you able to swap it out for one that has full dexterity? thanks.
@skinzfan1990 I actually had the same problem, and it is only an issue if you are purchasing the rifle in or from a state with laws limiting the functionality. But where I live, Maryland, having a collapsable stock is legal, and to resolve the issue, I took a Dremel tool with a cutting blade and cut the stock off from the top of the buffer tube and cleaned out the adhesive, and replaced it with a new stock... If you need more detailed instructions, PM me. Thanks for watching. - rdsknsfan21
@jlo8232 Even though you just ordered it, I would make sure that your rifle is compatible to have your current muzzle break/flash hider removed. I wanted to get something different on mine, even though the results are amazing, but because of the length of the AP4's barrel, DPMS was required to have it welded on, and made to look removable. If yours is though, you will love the Miculek Compensator, just dont let your friends stand too near the sides, the percussion is more than you'd imagine.
@rdsknsfan21 yeah, haha i made sure it was removable before i ordered it. i have the .308 version of the ap4. im not sure but i think i have an 18 inch barrel, but dont hold me to that. thanks for the heads up though!
i have an AP4..it fires 5.56 and .223..i love it..its a great gun for the price...and we dont need to worry about Obama taking out guns..if we lose them it will be because these fools continue to go out and shoot cops while they're havin morning coffee and shoot up schools and sht..we've got to keep the retards away from guns..give them a sling shot or something..but i digress..again i repeat;great gun and the video was a good demonstration of the rifle..
@TURBOMAGNUM The video camera was right behind a fifth wheel trailer... the back wall is likely what makes it seem so loud.... But yea, it is a very sweet gun...
Well in response to your first comment, good deal man.. I had gotten mine at the height of that Obamanista gun ban scare during the late fall early winter. And I must say aside from a couple ammo issues I have had, The gun is perfect. I dont believe either of the issues were because of the DPMS. I love my rifle. @comment 2, 50$ for what?
What I meant when I said that was the back half, as opposed to previous military style rifles like the wood guns. Thanks for watching my video. Didn't mean to sound ignorant.
no problem, thanks for not being a cocky ass lol like most people. i see what you mean now and i totally agree. o ahve you fired the .308 chambering for the ap4? that has almost no recoil either for the round it is.
Hey man, I was just going through my videos and realized I had not replied. No I havent fired it. Im not surprised about that not having recoil... The design of these rifles is very influential on that... the 308 is not that bad anyway. I am wishing that was the one I had ended up with now... At the time I got the rifle it was "Oh Crap what am i going to do, this evil man is gonna take our guns!" and I have always wanted an AR15 since I was young and I saw this on gunbroker. Very nice xmas gift.

Looks pretty steady from here :).

That is one of the great things about the rifle, is that all the weight is in the back allowing you to keep it steady much easier.
rdsknsfan21 3 years ago
dude like 70% of the rifles weight is in front of the trigger.
