This Miki character doesn't work at all - her accent will only confuse children and she adds nothing new to the stories.
If they wanted something original, then have her speaking Portuguese - that would get kids interested in foreign languages.
Bring back Matthew - since he left, the Sooty Show's gone to the dogs.

Yeah. She really should have talked Portuguese.
It'd be a great idea for the kids. They don't get enough foreign languages these days.
