This is cool. I live in south Louisiana about 2 hour's drive west of New Orleans, near the swamps and marshes and bayous (small rivers) that are adjacent to the Atchafalaya Basin, the nation's largest swamp. Just this afternoon I saw what looked like about a 7 foot gator in a setting like that, and it was only about 10 minutes from home. I enjoy seeing people appreciate what we have here, especially a celebrity endorsement like this. COOL!!
I know the Honey Island Swamp well but I love this tour. The captains are AMAZING. They are what make the tours so cool. On the other hand, the office staff is not so great.
I have had the chance to take this tour, too. I couldn't have guessed the alligators would come so close to the boat! It was definately a surreal (and cool) experience.
i recently visited the city of new orleans and did a Cajun Encounter Swamp Tour, because Kelly highly recommended it. It was the so much fun, but yet educational at the same time. My family enjoyed everything. Captain Nolan even got my 3 year old's attention. Its worth the price and i would highly recomend a swamp tour with this company. no other!!!
Cajun Encounters is THE tour to take in New Orleans. Extremely professional, informative and fun. Great for adults and/or kids - easy transportation, small boats so you can see EVERYTHING and super nice tour guides. 2 thumbs up!
I took that tour also. One of the coolest things I've ever done.

I went and had Captain Nolan as our guide, too. He was amazing. So were the gators and the swamp
