One thing I really hate about the PS3 version is that by default many characters from Mass Effect 1 are dead. These characters being Captain Kirrahe, Conrad Verner, Shaila, and more. The comic does not counter this. It may not affect the plot that much, but I think they should patch the game so that they are alive.

me2 advanced to a more combat focused game, imo. While in me1 certain speech options could settle a struggle before it even happened. that's why thi711 is whining. He can't handle the heat of battle.
Let it be said. The Mako driving was boring. Driving on plain terrain = thresher maw; driving on hills = ages till you get off the planet. Ty for removing the mako. The side characters are more powerful than ever imo. I find it sad though, that all the human squad members (except zaeed) are so dull.
@macnahamic you still can btw, if you have enough renegade points you can shoot some characters point blank (or do some other nasty stuff) before they even pull out their weapons, fight over. If you're a good guy you'll just talk them over not doing it anyway.
The prime scene for me was when shep was allowed to punch the annoying journalist in the face.

There's nothing memorable about this game. All the new characters are easily forgettable (didn't give much of a damn when any of them died at the end). And the returning characters have very weak parts.. you only got to see Ashley in only 1 scene in the entire game! Come on Bioware... I thought the decisions from ME 1 were supposed to make a big impact. Oh and another thing... there's NO explorations at all. All the game's cities and levels are narrow corridors that're linear and boring.

Great story! They fixed the combat system (Its so good they could have made a competitive multiplayer out of the combat system if they wanted), they Fixed galaxy map they fixed hacking system. Your ship is awesome. The only downside in my opinion is they took away from some of the traditional RPG aspects of the first game, EX: not as many guns, armor to find, stuff to buy.

You're using really broad terms here. By "some", do you mean only loyalty quests, or just skimming the game so you could brag about having completed it?
I just hope it doesn't get too dark because that gets alittle anoyying and something that allows you to kill Turrets or armour with out shooting repeatdeadly with rifles but is still balanced so it doesn't become a super weapon for everything

If shepard dies in ME2 you have to make a new char. in ME3. I might have one save where he lives and one where he dies just so i can see this new guy.

No. U can start fresh even if you haven't played Mass Effect 1, but u will not have any advantages at the beginning because you don't have any saved games from Mass Effect 1. You will get some kind of "default" starting scenario unlike the players who have played first part of the game, so not much is different. Because in the end of Mass Effect 1 you make some important decisions that affect your progress in Mass Effect 2 during the whole game. :)) Anything else?? Just reply to my comments!!!
But, it would be a lot better if u played Mass Effect 1, because you would have much bigger knowledge of the world the game is settled in and the game play and story over all. in Mass Effect 2 the story carries on from the end of Mass Effect 1 and continues in the same direction. After joining Cerberus you start to ask yourself how are these Collectors related to the Reapers and did they have to do something with the mysterious vanishes of the colonies on some planets. So your goal in ME2 will also be to explore deeper into this event, and by doing so u will also get some benefits in the further game progress.
after destroying the Normandy the Collectors pick u up dead floating in space and take u to one of their bases, but the Cerberus finds you and Retakes you. They revive u in this project of theirs called "Project Lazarus" and this is when u start to work for their group!!
U start to work for them and a new character appears!! Miranda!! She works for the Cerberus and joins your team, but her trust will be hard to get!! :))
Ok :). So Here it is. Shepard dies in Mass Effect 2 in the very beginning of the game. The Normandy is attacked by the new species supported by the Reapers, The Collectors! They destroy the Normandy, but most of the crew survives because of Shepard. He saved most of them. Including Joker! :)) So, He stays on the ship and dies. But, The Cerberus group revives him and at this point of revival you can reconfigure your character! Like your class and look!! when you are revived by the Cerberus group.

hang on... i have a bad feeling here. its true that your squad members from the last game (providing they arent dead) come back, but what if one dies in the assault on the normandy at the start of ME2? it could happen- i just hope not.
im just mad that they put an ammo limit in the game, because the "No Ammo" System was working 4 me, and its part of what appealed to me in the 1st game
No, If you use your saved game and you got to lvl 60 you will start as lvl 60 on ME2 if you start a new game on it you will start at lvl 60 anyways I believe, Which is basically a lvl 1 only diff is you will not have all the money/equipment from ME 1. I would start a new game on ME 2 even if you had your old save, seeing as it will have better customization then the first ones looks.

I really liked the modern styl and everykind of items you can get - they could make the game harder,tho - I mean they got presents in every shitty box you can imagine
(I had 9 mil cash and superb armours and stuff, you probably could have had more and better stuff then me)
What I really like is the AWESOMESTORY and the "choose your destiny" crap where you can do what you want
a shame they couldnt include more chars from the first game as companions tho I understand why.
For those who didnt realize, they only included garrus and tali bc neither was a romance option in the first game and neither could die during the story
I assuming any Kaidan, ashely, wrex, liara, will make minor appearances and could alter some of the missions somewhat, I think i heard someplace that if you killed wrex, you get a unfriendly reception during the mission on tuchanka or something.

You may need more heavy weapon ammo. Look for power cells to replenish your supply.

actually super and snyds, you don't need to play mass effect 1, they have stated that they give a backstory, it is highly recommended you do but it doesnt affect the gameplay experience

No. U can start fresh even if you haven't played Mass Effect 1, but u will not have any advantages at the beginning because you don't have any saved games from Mass Effect 1. You will get some kind of "default" starting scenario unlike the players who have played first part of the game, so not much is different. Because in the end of Mass Effect 1 you make some important decisions that affect your progress in Mass Effect 2 during the whole game. :)) Anything else?? Just reply to my comments!!!

But, it would be a lot better if u played Mass Effect 1, because you would have much bigger knowledge of the world the game is settled in and the game play and story over all. in Mass Effect 2 the story carries on from the end of Mass Effect 1 and continues in the same direction. You would have much better seeing of the Mass Effect game over all if you were also in Mass Effect 1 and 2, so it pays off to play the first part. :)))) If u need anything more JUST SAY THE WORD!! :)))

After joining Cerberus you start to ask yourself how are these Collectors related to the Reapers and did they have to do something with the mysterious vanishes of the colonies on some planets. So your goal in ME2 will also be to explore deeper into this event, and by doing so u will also get some benefits in the further game progress.

after destroying the Normandy the Collectors pick u up dead floating in space and take u to one of their bases, but the Cerberus finds you and Retakes you. They revive u in this project of theirs called "Project Lazarus" and this is when u start to work for their group!!

Ok :). So Here it is. Shepard dies in Mass Effect 2 in the very beginning of the game. The Normandy is attacked by the new species supported by the Reapers, The Collectors! They destroy the Normandy, but most of the crew survives because of Shepard. He saved most of them. Including Joker! :)) So, He stays on the ship and dies. But, The Cerberus group revives him and at this point of revival you can reconfigure your character! Like your class and look!! when you are revived by the Cerberus group.

hang on... i have a bad feeling here. its true that your squad members from the last game (providing they arent dead) come back, but what if one dies in the assault on the normandy at the start of ME2? it could happen- i just hope not.

No, If you use your saved game and you got to lvl 60 you will start as lvl 60 on ME2 if you start a new game on it you will start at lvl 60 anyways I believe, Which is basically a lvl 1 only diff is you will not have all the money/equipment from ME 1. I would start a new game on ME 2 even if you had your old save, seeing as it will have better customization then the first ones looks.

I really liked the modern styl and everykind of items you can get - they could make the game harder,tho - I mean they got presents in every shitty box you can imagine
(I had 9 mil cash and superb armours and stuff, you probably could have had more and better stuff then me)
What I really like is the AWESOMESTORY and the "choose your destiny" crap where you can do what you want

a shame they couldnt include more chars from the first game as companions tho I understand why.
For those who didnt realize, they only included garrus and tali bc neither was a romance option in the first game and neither could die during the story

I assuming any Kaidan, ashely, wrex, liara, will make minor appearances and could alter some of the missions somewhat, I think i heard someplace that if you killed wrex, you get a unfriendly reception during the mission on tuchanka or something.
