  • wrists are made of rubber

  • closest thing to Bonzo in my book...

  • @mikeaf1974 agreed.

  • JP is one of those few drummers who really look totally into the music

  • I wonder what kind of gum he's chewing on

  • what i hear athe begining is " we're knee deep in cat nip, at the old house box" just saying i like botth songs

  • jp is my cup of tea....pure fucking feel.

  • He makes it look so simple.

  • Great Led Zeppelin reference worked in there...

  • Love this man!! Great player no question!!

  • Its awsome to see where he is today compared to his drum style 15 years ago.... which by the way was still awesome. He didnt get stuck he just kept progressing.

  • its funny how you see the drummers with smaller kits doing so much more than the ones with 100 different pieces

  • Jp is the best blues drummer since bill ward and bonzo in their prime

  • Jean-Paul the GrooveMachine!!!

Probably one of the most underestimated drummers ever...

  • what ride does he use exactly?

  • @Zimmy244 the ride is a byzance extra dry

  • Should be a hero of all drummers.

  • what cymbals? i kno their meinl

  • @danthman44444 Meinl Byzance series (dark)

  • hey cybercat84065, jp lays gms drums not gretsch, are you sure he is your uncle, but yes he is an amazing drummer that the 1 thing you got right. happy christmas jp

  • he recently moved to Gretsch kits

  • @MrPocketGroover - J.P. Gaster plays Gretsch drums. I do not know whether cybercat is really related to J.P. or not, but I would not automatically assume that he is not. They do not have a system at YouTube that screens out nephews of famous people from opening accounts. J.P. is the man though, we can all agree on that!

  • Great great uncle! :)

  • @cybercat84065 Stop showing off

  • These are indeed songs from The Bakerton Group's self-titled album.

    First Song: 1906 Part II

    Second Song: The Schickley

They're actually Track 1 and Track 2, respectively, from the album.

In any case, awesome performance. Would love to hear them live, alongside their alter-ego, Clutch.

  • This song sounds like Earth.

  • I love how JP rarely stops playing in their concerts. I'm surprised that man doesn't have arms like Popeye.

  • in some of the shots,,it looks like he`s got only one arm!

  • TOTAL MASTER OF HIS CRAFT.

  • @BartConrad101 fukkin right on.

  • my new favorite drummer...his cymbals sound so fucking good

  • They do. Think he plays Meinl.

  • yea, its meinl. i love those cymbals. next time i upgrade mine im getting all meinls

  • this isnt clutch, its gotta be the bakerton group. what songs are these?

  • Actually I believe its Last Orbit by the Bakerton Group.

  • i dont think it is. ive never seen anyhting with clutch playing oranges

  • Saw Clutch play 5 times this man can play better that 99% of Drummers to day with a kit half the size. The Mans got Rhythm.

  • @daviesoule agreed!!!!

  • can you say flavor?

  • nice job
