The film doesn't say during the last 60 years, 1million people got killed.

In the end of SEVEN YEARS IN TIBET, the film claimed there are 1 million people killed in 1959, and 8000 temples have been destroied.

The Chinese government built roads, schools, hospitals for the Tibetans. The PLA pushed back the Indian which invaded in early 1960s. The masses of Tibetan people don't contribute to the economy, is very critical of Han chinese whom are building all these infrastructure and the economy and in fact beats and murder them.
