This car was built for testing of some construction solutions which were later used in 8-series. Even this 850 coupe was not that successful as expected. Bugatti and Ferrari were nervous when speculations about Nazca limited production appeared. The Nazca prototipe was so amazing masterpiece of ingeneering that even F50 or EB110 were not good enough to be comparable. Unfortunately the potential buyers were not too attracted with cosmic shape of Nazca. 850 commercial debacle validated the error.

I wish the M1 was a result of this study. Nazca C2 came about in 91, 10 years after they stopped producing the M1. We need more crazy cars like this in production.

BMW was stupid not to make this car a production car. This car kinda reminds me of the car in that movie "The Wraith." I know there not the same but the design is similar. If there was a Wraith 2 I would use this car.
