  • girl vs men???

  • how to beat a long pips chopper that has no strategy lmao :p

  • service of this annoying woman is almost wrong

  • this competition shows why the wonderful sport of table tennis is not so atractive on TV or even live. This jumping and turning around and taking of a long time before the next ball is really anoing. What a pity.

  • Yokoyama is a really classic chopper

He did not develop any offensive skills and concepts back in Japan when he was young, that why he do not attack that often.

  • why he doesn't smash its tired ôO

  • i dont get why the chopper doesn't smash those drop shots more often like he did in 2:58

  • 4:10 great point

  • chopping at a super high level of table tennis is useless

  • really? wow you are so smart. i guess number 9 in the world Joo Se Hyuk should stop then eh? haha. envious because you cant chop i bet.

  • Joo, Chen Weixing, Kenji Matsushita, Hao Yingchao, Gionis Panagiotes, Wang Xi, Hu Bingtao, Jang Song Man, etc. All choppers in the top 100.

  • i like the chooper,he have a nice strtegy to play

  • The chopper suks...

No offensive but he barely attacks lol...

Just defending n waiting for your opponents error isnt good enough -.-

  • I'm an 1829 and I play in this tournament twice a year, trust me, these guys are good, but Gao Yan Jun comes in the end and cleans everybody up.

  • This guy's technique is great. Thanks for posting it! Good to study his form, very clear and consistent.

  • 5:58 must suck...i cant stand when you work your tail off for a point then hit the ball into the net or something....

  • that would piss me off so much if i played someone like that...

  • he's not professional obviously so give him a chance. and really, chopping with long pips = die

  • Did the player in red play the ball straight out of the air at 4:16? Is that allowed?

  • It's not allowed - but she did let the ball bounce on the table before hitting it... it was a good off-the-bounce drop shot to draw the defender back in to the table.

  • yeah, vs08540 is right!..she did hit the ball after the ball bounce on the table, i like do that againts a chopper::P, and than topspin dipper on the table:P

  • he looks like an old-school type chopper. his style appears to be very different from the modern choppers like joo and chen. but he's good, though

  • he has a good serve

  • thats the worst chopping i have ever seen in ma life! he angles it so high a pro attacker would kill him instantly! joo keeps it low which forces mistakes

  • theres gotta be worse

  • he is still over 2500 so he has to be doing something right...

  • He's a 2500 player, not a world top 10. But since he's the worst chopper you've ever seen, I'm sure you'd have no trouble beating him, right?

  • LOL . hes 2500

o rite. u dun even have rating

  • i'd like to see u do better u shmuck...

Stop trying to to make your self feel better by saying other people suk when you are probably fat and can't play table tennis/sports to save your life !

  • i'd like to see you do better you shmuck...

Jerk offs like you are everywhere, your fat lazy and can't play sports worth a damn...

  • serve at 5:59 was LEET!!!

  • I tried long pips once just to see what it was like. I hated them, but my playing partner hated them even more so I kept them on for a while. But eventually I went back to inverted rubber and ping pong became fun again.

  • Strong finish, glad she won at last. I hate when people get rewarded for playing like he did.

  • I feel really frustrated to watch when the chopper kind of walk off the table and carry on almost every point. But I do think he is a good chopper.

  • OMG! I don't know how she won. She has talent but absolutely no discipline. Everytime she misses a point she looks like she wants to cry or kill someone. She needs more discipline!

  • the venue looks like crystal palace where i use to play in the butterly grandprix lol

  • Nothing pisses me off more than watching two highly ranked and highly skilled players serve illegal. Come on, is open palm, throwing the ball near vertical, and having travel 16cm all that hard?

  • I don't get why women are so boring to watch in table tennis. She seems to be so overly passive. Even the top women players in the world can't stand up to the top men. One would think there wouldn't be such a gender division in the sport since strength isn't the biggest factor. Maybe it's just lack of aggression.

  • women's tabletennis is different from the men's, because women have less possibilties of moving than men as men have, caused by gender, more muscles than women. anyway i guess that has something to do with the hip (correct me if i'm wrong) too. but i don't really think it's that boring. i've seen matches between the world's best women and i thought that it's way more interesting than the men's tabletennis (sometimes).

i wouldn't say that women's tabletennis is boring, it's just different.

  • Pure strength may not be a huge factor but the limitation does come from muscles. Women actually have more restricted rotation about the shoulders. And all said, their arms typically just aren't as strong as men's, and even if its table tennis, the speed just wont be as high. At the highest level, table tennis players are atheletes in every sense of the word.

  • Actually the speed statement is a misinomer.

Typical rallies at the top level with Women are usually much faster PACED than Men. As women usually lack the brute strength to rip the ball in half, female attackers usually utilize counter attacks, off the bounce and angles to take advantages and points.

Sheer speed on the ball? yes it's slower. Faster paced match? Definitely. That's what makes it so fun to watch....and deadly to play against.

  • chopping all day is a boring tactic

  • NO, that attecker was boring:)

  • Wrong title buddy. It must be "How to loose against a long-pips chopper".

  • Yup, that girl plays very dumb

  • this isnt THE wang nan is it? doesnt look like it.

  • No, THE Wang Nan is a lefty and a bit older (and better)... The Wang Nan in this video is an excellent young player from the Beijing team who's currently visiting the US as a training partner for Chinese-American Wang Chen

  • I can't believe that the classic windshield wiper serve is still giving people hard time. I'm a chopper too but I counter attack more offent and use my long pip to attack.

  • looks like hardbat ...

  • looks like the chopper's bh rubber is OX at least (no sponge). the fh looks like regular rubber tho

  • no veo la cuenta...pero ambos son parejos.

  • I didn't keep up with the score, but the beginning of the game looked like, "How to lose to a long-pips chopper"

A well played game tho' the chopper seemed to be the one who choked in the end. Maybe the failure of his attacks to win points rattled him.

Yes, the red bh was the long pips.

  • were the long pips the red b/hand rubber?nice chop by the way
