Yep they look strange but Bob's an old hand and all of his gyros fly just fine. Guess you need to unlearn some fixed wing theory to be comfortable with gyros. Straight-and-level flight happens with the plane of the rotor spinning at 9 degrees to horizontal. Freaks out heli pilots when they check forward, lose lift and bad things happen.
If you knew what to look for you would clearly see the HS, they are there
