Exactly right; i was in WH Smiths in Brighton a couple of days ago, and there were two kids (12 or 13) running round knocking magazines off the shelves. when the security guard cornered them, one of them said (and I heard him say exactly this) "Lay one finger on me and i'll get social workers on to you". Yes, some vulnerable children do need protection, but this wretched Labour government has made damn sure that children are fully aware of their 'right's, but have no concept of responsibility...

i absolutely agree with you 100%! kids will always 'try it on', and most of the kids that I know are more cheeky than down-right obnoxious, but thanks to that bloody Rantzen woman, and New Labours 'Stazi' social workers, there's a generation of kids brought up with no idea of responsibility; just an almost encyclopedic knowledge of their 'right's? Bring back some kind of (military or non-military) National Service? why not!!!
