First, it depends on what kind of file your clips are saved in. You'll get an error message or it just won't show if it's the wrong one, but otherwise here's what you do in the two versions I've had: see the button near the top called 'Import Media'? Try clicking on that then going to the file where your movie is saved. Depending on the file type you will or won't be able to make smaller clips out of it. Good luck! =)
