Because it turned out Tebow needs max protect because he can't play off a normal wildcat formation. When he did Tebow was stopped easily when the Bronco's played against the Jaguars with 1 yard out of 2 attempts. So the Broncos simplified the wildcat even further using max protect.

Harvin was a RB/WR hybrid that caused major trouble on the field. A lot of the yards Tebow has accumulated were short passes with big gains. The long ball was caused when Percy broke down the CB/safety. And I didn't even mention the ample time he had to pass to his receivers because the O line stymied the opposing defense.

@omgbygollywow Not really. TEbow is playing off the wildcat formation with max protect. No team has ever played wildcat with max protect, you know why? Because it turned out Tebow needs max protect because he can't play off a normal wildcat formation. When he did Tebow was stopped easily when the Bronco's played against the Jaguars with 1 yard out of 2 attempts. So the Broncos simplified the wildcat even further using max protect.

@bjfx123 Actually, it changes from week to week who is designated the "emergency" (3rd) QB. McDaniels said before the season started that he would decide between Quinn and Tebow before each game who would fill that role....depending on that week's opponent. But on the depth chart, Tebow is offically listed as the #2 QB.

You also may want to think carefully and consider all of Tebow's circumstances in Denver so you don't have to eat your words- The McDaniel's brothers, for all their faults, are very good (maybe the best) at producing QB's and Josh engineered the 2007 NE offense to NFL records for offensive pts and TDs that is very QB/WR savvy scheme-wise.
If Tim is going to succeed anywhere, he's in the best place in the world to do it.
Vegas needs to start betting pools on Tebow 2015 status!

@rowdymadcow You really haven't been paying attention. A lot of the games won were because of the defense and Percy Harvins playmaking ability. Harvin was a RB/WR hybrid that caused major trouble on the field. A lot of the yards Tebow has accumulated were short passes with big gains. The long ball was caused when Percy broke down the CB/safety. And I didn't even mention the ample time he had to pass to his receivers because the O line stymied the opposing defense.

Let's compare Tebow to Peyton Manning: Tebow averaged 9.43 yds per attempt. Peyton Manning averaged 8.27 yds per attempt. By the way, Eli was 7.44. Tebow's passer rating (Career) was 120.72. Peyton Manning was 101.93. Peyton threw for 11,201 yds and Tebow threw for 9,286 yds. Manning had 369 more passing attempts.

As far as his work ethic, his willingness to learn the X's & O's, and his love for the game. It's like what Pat Riley said. Hard work doesn't guarantee you anything. But without it, you don't stand a chance. I'll be rooting for Tebow on hopefully w/ him having a long, healthy, and prosperous career in the NFL. And I'll definitely be rooting for him and the Broncos when they play their AFC west rival San Diego.

he was a great college PLAYER not a quarterback and i just dont think he will be a great QB in the nfl either...he might be a great player..but he llacked the fundementals and wasnt in a pro style offense in college, he wasnt that great of a passer, and doesnt have that strong of an arm and he wasnt very accurate, he got by own pure athleticism alone...maybe if he switched positions in the nfl he will be a success, but i just dont see it if he stays a QB..just my opinion..no disrespect indended.

Okay, if Tebow is such a great person, why doesn't he ever give credit to any of his teammates? I mean he wouldn't have ANY rushing yards if his line didn't block, much less have any touchdowns. A quarterback is nothing with out his receivers and Tebow had great receivers, yet he never mentions them. He's have ZERO touchdown passes if there were no receivers. Tebow takes ALL the credit, and never gives any to his teammates. That's why I don't like Tebow.
