It's complicated, but basically, he (Tidus) goes forward in time (a destiny thing), meets her, they fall in love, then the demolish the baddie, and he has to go back.

Oh, also, to remove the DivX logo from your clips, go into your DivX folder, open it up and you'll find an option to disable the logo.
