This is so ironic. Just the other day a lady pulled up onside me in a Lexus suv at the gas station. The outside was very plain but when I peeked inside, it was decked out. Wood paneling, tan leather seats. Everything was so luxe. I didn't know Lexus was trying to compete with Navigator and Escalade. Even though I could by a home for the same price, I'd still chose a Navigator.

@1SirCarlton The 24v engine was actually an improvement over the older 32v engine. The intake on the old 32v engine was very restrictive and it didn't have variable camshaft timing like the newer 24v engine. The 24v made much more low end torque and just as much hp. However the new 5.0 and 6.2 liter engines should be put in the new navigator as they are better than both engines.

Ive always wondered why the Lincoln's 5.4L used Premium fuel in these days but the Expedition used regular...anyone know why? Was it a completely different motor than the Triton?

@strumem90 I believe the 04-current have the same 5.4 Triton engines that are in the Expedition and F150 but the pre 03 Navigators had a 5.4 Itech that made 300HP while their Ford counterparts only made 260HP.

@strumem90 I have no idea, I thought the same thing. They actually started using the 3v in this year so I am assuming that it could run on regular with no problem, especially since the 4.6 3v that was more aggressively tuned has no problem with regular.

I've always liked this body style of the Navigator. This one seems to be in really nice shape, although I did notice the low tire pressure warning, and was that the check engine light that was on? I like those aftermarket wheels. I also like the power hatch and power folding rear seats. A lot of dealerships seem to keep their cars with very little gas in them, so that people won't test drive them very far.
