For years, I always said "You can't say that a cover's better than the original because they didn't perform it first."

Well, that all changed with this season of Idol. Hearing how Danny and Adam were able to take these songs, some of which were written long before they were born, and make them their own.

I ALWAYS dismiss religious songs because they're usually very corny, but seeing Danny perform this live on Idol...he just perfected the song in such a way...

When the whole family is driving around my wife is usually playing cd's of music she's burned. Two years after Danny did this and the kids, 10 and 12 year old boys, still ask for us to play this song while we're driving so we can crank it up and everyone sings along to it... This is the ONLY song they do that with!

Music is MORE than just the notes on the page or the words delivered, maybe correctly, but with no emotional content.
