Fantastic vid showing all of Richard's most intense momnets........the way he blinks, and uses his expressions. I think my heart is beating a little faster.......even a black leather jacket scene to keep me happy!

I am playing it on my Netbook (mini laptop) and unfortunately it is choppy both in1080 and 720. It still looks lovely in 480 though and is very clear.

Thank you for doing this!! :) It plays smoothly and looks beautiful in picture quality. It's only with my vid I'm having/had problems. (grrrr)

One thing- this is HD already? Could that have something to do with it since my PotO movie is DVD rip, made to look close to HD???

@honeyphan2 Glad it plays well. I don't know why some videos stall for you and some don't. Weird YouTube I guess!

Yes, this video uses genuine HD source clips. It'll look sharper than a DVD rip scaled up to HD for YouTube.

As far as playback on YT is concerned, I don't think it matters if the clips were originally HD or from a DVD rip. If both types of videos get processed by MPEG Streamclip with the same settings, I'd think they'd both play back with the same smoothness on YT.

It plays smoothly for me too. I'm on a newer PC with 8 GB of RAM and a good high-speed connection and I can't tell the difference between this video and your 1280x720 version of this video. Is there supposed to be a difference?

@bccmee Thanks for the info, that is helpful! I have no idea if there's any difference either, LOL. My monitor is too small to view 1080 at fullsize.

The source video is 720p so I've been making everything 720p. I know of no HD copies of Strike Back "in the wild" (so to speak) that are anything *other* than 720p. But still the pressure is on to make a 1080 version because somehow it's supposed to look better! Perhaps it does on a larger monitor.

but i have a very old PC on medium speed connection

- so i will never know the diff between 720p & 1080p :)

If you download the DivX AVI HD files from RAfanvids, you can still play HD on an old computer. I confirmed this recently with my ancient (from 2002) Mac. It'll play HD or HQ fine as long as the files are DivX. I don't know how it would do with 1080, though! :D
