It's not really stalker-ish if you ask me. With as many times as I've heard this song it sounds more like he's "just a friend" who keeps wishing she'd open her eyes and see him. But like most Dougan songs, you can go into hour long discussions about the meanings.

Thanks for the headsup; my ex was seriously into Slipknot. Not keen on stalkers (having been on the receiving end - he ended up in prison - sadly for killing someone) but this is a stunning song. I agree with one of the other contributors here; you could argue for ages about Dougan's songs which is part of their appeal. With a really well written song you can read your own worries/hopes and emotions into them; weirdly we end up "stalking" the song: listening again and again.
