with smoke i found that if you did the (on xbox controller) y x b then smoke bomb then teleport punch or X-ray you can rack up close to 20% without X-ray, with X-ray if i remember right is about 34% health taken. Took me a little bit of time to master that combo but it is effective.

Well my top tier would be Kabal, Johnny Cage and Smoke. I've found some great combos with both Johnny and Smoke, while Kabal has insane specials. Try this combo with Johnny, I discovered it myself a couple of weeks ago:

Jump Punch, Dash,1,1,Dash,1,1,Dash,1,1,Das­h,4,4,Shadow Kick. Does well over 40% damage. Though the Jump Punch can be switched with a Shadow Flip Kick for extra damage.

I got a max hit (53%) with Ermac and a 37% BnB Combo.

Ermac had some of the easiest fights in the game. Sonya and Jax are an easy win for him. They have no way to get inside, and even if they do, Ermac has no trouble sending them right back out.

Ermac is a great character. Easily top 5 best in the game.

Smoke is the cheapest, newfag character. People just whore him Online to use that lame-ass teleport punch. Nightwolf is a beast if you have the patience to master him.

Also, you guys are lame. You showed no real skill in this video. And holding Block or turtling the whole fight and using uppercuts and grabs is what my 10-yr-old brother does. :P

I use the smoke bomb to pop 'em up in the air then A then Y to set em up for the teleport attack nice 20% damage combo( if you have two bits of meter you can increase the damage by doing the enhanced of both of them). Also smoke bomb can be used to set up an easy x-ray hit. Not saying I'm the best smoke player just that you don't have to use jump attacks like this guy was.

@ognjenosmancevic you can check the moves list and it will tell you two different ones at the bottom of the list: a map-specific one which is a fatality based on the map you're playing in, and a character-specific fatality, based on the character you're using.

I personally don't think Smoke is in the top tier. The only reason people think he is good is because his teleport is apparently good/cheap. Although, his smoke bomb would be fantastic for ongoing combos. However, I think Nightwolf is definitely in the top tier.

Some of the stuff they are saying is true, but a lot is not even good advice. They are not very good either. Check out Shoryuken if you interested in this game for great videos and an guide that is not finished yet but will be soon.
