What do you MEAN, the Nightster is 'beautiful'? Just look at it. Looks like someone's flung a doughnut at the engine. When it comes to styling I reckon the Guzzi comes out on top! The only 'iffy' styling is in your hairstyle...
@CaracasVtwin Don't get me wrong, I come from a family of Harley (and Indian) riders. I just hate to see people get caught up in the Harley hype. A bike is like a pair of work boots, you know what you like and what you need, try different ones on until you get a good fit, after all they're just for you!
Moto Guzzi I have a wee 750 Guzzi too, class bike. Like yer man says a bike for riding not posing. That Belagio yoke is a class looking bike. If I get the cash that'll be the next motor I'm getting ;-)
@CaracasVtwin Harley-Davidson used to be the standard for American bikes, now they have turned into a poser bike for white-collar wannabees. I've met many true old time bikers who love my Triumph Speedmaster and how they started with, and loved their Triumphs.
@ShadowedWolfPuppy - I'd have a Nightster myself and set it up for touring, especially if I still lived in Australia where the spaces are pretty wide and open. I know a couple who rode thier 883 (the old solid mount chain drive one) 4 times around Australia carrying all thier camping gear. Had a great time. After about 5 years on the road I needed a new bike. Test road a BMW - no soul (well not that one). Rode the 750 Guzzi and 20 minutes later I was hooked for life. :-)
@ShadowedWolfPuppy Must have got a dud one. Mines been going 6 years strong. Plenty of them over 100,000 miles in the UK Guzzi Club. I quite like the Nightster, but its not as good for proper travel as the Bellagio, or even my litte 750. Calais to Limoges and back on a weeked no worries.
assumes full protective posture and utilizing a Ti / CF cup... What we have here is two pieces of agriculturaly equipment and on bloated modernized classice verticle twin motorcycle. 8^) Me I'd take a Guzzi first if it were my money and I'd take any of them for free.
Nice bikes but the 2008 Harley Davidson XL1200R was a better choice in this comparative (better brakes, better shoks, bigger tank...) as the nighster (that look cool but it's all...)
The best looking bike is by far and away the Triumph! The guzzi looks like it's had it's engine put in the wrong way round, as with all guzzis. The Harley is better but looks a bit "pre" retro to me. All except the HD benefit from better exhausts to get the sound of the engine out. Handling wise the triumph isn't brilliant around the corners because of it's silly suspension but having ridden the Harley, I would prefer the Hinkley effort or the guzzi.
@LJohno13 "Wrong way round"??? Nah mate thats the right way round. They say the people that have Guzzis deserve them. I'm one of the lucky ones. 24,000 miles and the worst problem I have had is a flat battery. Its a bike for riding, not posing.
WHAT??? Guzzi's styling is "iffy"? Does this guy eat shit at breakfast? Seriously, and it's not a matter of opinion: empirically, Guzzi's the best looking of the three. And, of course, handling wise, the best by a large margin.
The comentator speaks in unnerving crikey hoity-toity English, should go to speech therapy classes to learn some "universal English" as they speak on "CNN World News" or "BBC World"
Why can't that limey pronounce Gootzie? (Guzzi) It all comes down to: do you want to be a rider or just look like you have been duped by harley marketing. TAKE THE GUZZI! you'll love it!
I owned of these nightsters...fyi, they are a rough ride. They look cool but they are a different bike almost than the Sportster 1200 custom..been thinking about getting one of the customs..they rode so much better.
Triumph are great for customizing. most bobbers are made from triumphs just look it up on the net. if you want a leaky motor that shakes go for a harley
The America is a nice bike. It looks good and get a lot of attentions when riding it. I do not like the sound, it sounds like an electric motor. The ride is great on the highway, handles great and rides well. Bike has a lot of torque and can move up any hill and pass with ease. Ill change the pipes and have a perfect bike.
dun like much british design except for Speed Triple and similar. Tryumph aren't much for custom bikes. Harley and Guzzi got a bit more of tradition in this.
Maybe it's because the Harley is the rarer bike over there but, to me the Moto Guzzi is the only one with real character. Nothing sounds as beautiful as a thrumming 90dg. V-Twin.
Love Guzzi's new Bellagio! Wish it was offered in Canada! Have ridden the Sportster ... real nice (but kinda harsh) Ride! A pal owns a Speedmaster ... haven't Ridden that (yet), but is one SEXY lookin' Bike!
why do people think that every cruiser should be likened to a Harley, sure the Triumph is a cruiser, but its a BRITISH styled cruiser. After all for v twin style and power how would you try match a Harley against a Vincent Rapide
Most guys who have HDs will agree, they are good to look at in the garage....: )

i think the speedster is the most enjoyable to ride. i was surprised at how much i didn't like the sporty when i tested it out.

The Guzzi is fuggin' ugly. The Harley is cool, in an agricultural kind of way. I have a Speedmaster so I'm biased.

I think HD advertise a lot in MCN.Because even the triumph is twice the bike than the HD.
And the Guzzi is far better than both of them.A wolf in cruiser clothing.

He pronounces it well, because that's the way you pronounce it in Italian. If you say Gootzie you talk about Gucci (hey it's not a handbag!)
brevabrabo 2 years ago
@149200632 he pronounce the brand name as if it is "Gosie"... wich is'nt really correct.
in italian the name is like g-You-see, saiyng... but the "s" is hard and doubled... lito

@149200632 Rispondi a questo video...
He pronounces like "gosie", wich is a good approximation. the name is
in italian somehow like "G-You-t-tsie"... like in tootsie but harder. is the
double Z the point.
