  • I loved you in Superbad :)

  • very good teacher:)

  • Apart from maybe the introduction to feeling this i cant see why you would need this for blink?

  • @tricky12321 Old blink

  • @tricky12321 listen carefully, lots of fast pedal, more than you think

  • WOW! This helped me sooo much i was trying to figure out how to get up to speed on songs like blink 182 and i never knew until now! i tried the heel toe technique but i never could get it to work out because i play heel up all the time, with this it just seems natural and easier! Thanks alot!!!

  • As allmost i can see is technique cobus' no ?

  • @paquito94215 Cobus does use the slide technique. Everyone does it slightly differently as you can see by watching Cobus and Dave both do it.

  • @punkwhateverthefuckandshit, it's only for people who want to be douches and consider themselves "single-pedal messiahs", besides that, get a double pedal and utilize those for amazing double foot work, even though, just straight singles sound good enough.

  • @ShittyMcPoopyBalls Or good drummers who dont take shortcuts.

  • @platapush you do realize that these are shortcuts for not using a double pedal?

  • @ShittyMcPoopyBalls No because unless your a hardcore metal drummer double pedals are completely unnecessary. I use a double pedal because i do play metal sometimes. But these guys use double pedals as a tool on their kit, not as something to make up for incompetence on a single pedal.

  • @platapush Well, that makes sense, I personally need a double pedal because I can't play 16th notes @ 200 bpm with 1 foot. My single foot technique is actually well developed but I'm not a jazz drummer so...yes.

  • thumbs up if you learned slide technique on blink-182 songs :)

  • nice technique!

  • out of all the techniques you guys have taught...over and over again...the best one has been flat foot, sean lang is my idol. Nobody really gives a crap about heel-toe or slide, I wish tim waterson got more into the swivel technique.

  • @ShittyMcPoopyBalls "Nobody really gives a crap about heel-toe or slide."

    Ohhh, how wrong you are.

  • i learned that in metallica songs

  • man!!we should be really thankful to this guys for postin vids like this from time to time, if it werent for them we couldnt possibly develop our skills fast enough, they even bother to slow it down just for the sake us!BE THANKFUL!!KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS!!

  • he must get so sick of teaching this techniqu over and over and over again...

    (it's like the third time)

  • cool :) "

    caseydrum"

  • Great video as always!

  • i figured this out playing rock band a few weeks about XD im not even a drummer (im a bassist) but i still really wanna learn the drums

  • i wish i cut drumming like u

  • I can only do this in socks! I haven't played drums in shoes since.... ever.

  • Could you guys do a beginner drum lesson on the swivel technique?

  • Hey Dave- thanks for doing a vid for us in regards to the slide technique. I got a question though- should I start developing my left foot (on my secondary bass pedal) with the slide as well? Would that be wise/ practical? Thanks and keep up the good work.

  • That the same way t learned to play it, Sum41 and Blink182, rules! :)

  • Awesome video Dave and the crew! I wish I started playing heels up when I first started playing drums, I'm a heels down player for every thing, but there is so many more benefits in my opinion when playing heels up.... Guess its time to start practicing. at least I will know how to play both styles now. well when I learn heels up.... and thanks to these videos I will. thanks guys!

  • What`s better, slide or heel toe?

  • @freewarthebest The technique that fits you more :-).

  • @freewarthebest they are the same it is just different

  • @pompernickels "they are the same it is just different" dude....? Haha. A better explanation would be that the slide technique is for drummers who play heels up, and the heel toe technique is for drummers who play heels down.

  • @thedrummerkid88 i play heel up but mostly do heel toe its a technique it has no required style
