  • Would have been awesome

  • No. I am from louisville and oppose this building. It would be nice to see a big building in louisvilles skyline, I think the money could be better spent. Mayor Abramson should be ashamed for even allowing this to be considered before a new bridge, updating our freeways and revitalizing our inner city. If we just practice better city management rather than awe-ing potential new residents, we would eventually have bigger structures and a bigger downtown.

  • Sorry to read that the project was cancelled. Lots money and dreams lost. Excellent presentation, though. Loved the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile @ 1:50

  • i think the video of BIG (BJARKE INGELS) doing the same its better...

  • Great Film.

  • Seems a bit controversial, judging from the comments--The Great American Dollhouse Museum

  • y el brillo en el agua cuando la escena es nocturna????

and brightness in the water when the scene is night????

  • And I'm not exactly sure how the millions of dollars in liens have been sorted out yet, but there is a concern about a fucking up of public land here, right?

    Hasn't this thing stalled?

  • Remember the fountain.

I've been out of Louisville for 3 years now. The thought of coming back to this monstrosity is horrible.

Please don't fall into the inferiority complex that brought us the fountain. more complaints about it being out of place and out of human scale... and thus bad architecture are not being heard enough.

  • I can't wait to visit Louisville a few years from now when the building is completed... Actually I can't wait till they start doing more construction period.

  • The city tends to be into the building, all the movement and its own interrelations among the inhabitants

  • Has anyone at OMA ever heard of human scale?

The building is just UGLY, looks like an oil drilling platform abandoned on the shores of a river. Where is this?.

  • Did you spot the Wiener mobile in the video?

Anyways, truly exciting seeing a building such as this being built in a American city that is not known for skyscrapers or has much of a global effect. Here's to more architecturally interesting buildings being built in cities such as Little Rock and Milwaukee.

  • @YoBallzStank this is being built in louisville, kentucky

  • wow... that made my jaw dropped! what program did you use? it have interesting visual presentations.

  • Simply put it, interesting visuals. now about the project, I'm scared to see what happens at a pedestrian scale and level. OMA does great futuristic projects, but the context suffers enormously. The Seattle Library is a monster with no regard to the pedestrian real around it. The lessons learned during the first year of architecture are sacrificed for the big idea, the massing, the wow element. COuld you pay more attention to the city, the context and the pedestrian?

  • that's awesome!!

Check out the video I posted of the beautiful architecture of New York's Natural History Museum! :)

  • Does anyone know any group that produces similar music to the one on this video?

    Thanks!

  • may i know, what software that you used to make this animation??

    tq...

  • Looks very futuristic.

  • thats not the design they r building is it. I can well b wrong but I thought it looked different. Either way I like the way from a distance it resimbles the twin towers. nice presentation!

  • I cant spell resembles duh!

  • VERY AWESOME ! VERY PROFESSIONEL !!!

  • wow

this is some awsome presentation! i study architecture but i never saw a presentation like this one...

can you tell which program was used?

    thanks and complements....

    bye

  • man i cant wait till this is up. as someone from louisville im very exicted about it

  • I think it looks like an oil rig... and is going to be pretty out of place in the skyline. I dunno, I hate to dump on it, because most people here in Louisville are excited about it.

Its like a weird starchitecture building... without the star architect.

  • Very impressive presentation media. Unfortunately, the presentation mixed media overwhelms the architectural design. Or was that the subject?

  • im from and live in louisville and i cant wait until it goes up!!! very unique...

  • The best and most original architecture presentation I've ever seen.

  • Woot! It will be built. what a good time to be a Louisvillian!

Good work designers, architects, visionaries and Metro government.

    dak

  • it was approved yesterday...it will be built

  • This is a great project for Louisville, Ky. This building will be one of the USA's most unique and recognizable buildings. The animation is amazing as well.

  • wat programme is it,cuz i know it is not autodesk, right?

  • Brilliant movie, what an amazing skill in presentation technique // now it might be a good idea to learn about architecture too... Eventhough it might seem so or is argued by some 'BIG' architecture isn't that empty in meaning as this building is. Or maybe this idea is not so empty as it sames - if that is the case, the presentation method is not as good as it seems. advice: more energy in building, a little less in multimedia.. congrats, it's still veryvery great to look at this vid.

  • The video is too long.

It is as if they said, "Hey, how many times and how many different ways can we show how shitty our building is?"

  • exelent!!!!

Very good reading of the architecture

  • fantastic presentation of an architectural design. i love the mix of modelmaking, 3d drawing, rendering, and real filming. plus good music. the design, however, does not convince me. OMA has done much better, this one seems very uninspired. museum for what, by the way??

  • how much is it going to cost

  • not bad (for students), shame about the architecture, if only life was as simple as 'flipping the programme'

  • Cool! storyboard's very good.

  • what is the point of this animation? what does it tell the viewer? (apart from how good we are at using the latest technology)

  • the point is to see the building in its context. see how it relates or doesn't relate to the surroundings. plus, it's also meant to razzle and dazzle the judges/critics/city planners of that city. ;-)

  • wow!!

  • Hombre la animación está muy guapa y sobre todo muy bien estructurada no sé si podría decirlo mismo de la prousesta, a mi no me entusiasma pero desde luego un 10 en vuestra manera de presentarla. Está genial

  • ...if architecture always would be that easy....

  • how many people did this animation movie

  • Seriously, what did you use? A software list would be loved!

The augmented reality is top notch. AMAZING work you guys.

  • perfect

  • Sweet video of the museuem plaza. It's going to be amazing downtown. For any of you wondering, the building is proposed to be built in Louisville, KY.

  • super! I like it... MOMA are your working there??

  • "wienermobile"

  • You wrote "wienermoble" uh huh huh

  • Did anyone else notice the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile at 1:50? It's a silhouette, but distinguishable nonetheless.

  • Thanks for posting this. It restores some (desire) in architecture...or at least in video/modeling.

  • you forgot the reflection on the water in the night scene.. othe than that.. its breath taking.... kewl stuff.. need to learn ow to do this kinda stuff.. respect!

  • amazing!

  • Excelent!Who did the animaiton?OMA ?Which programs did they use?How long did it taketo do such an animation?Location of the building?Any information? please...

  • I love it! Ive been trying to figure out how to present my projects in this sort of medium. I have so many questions and want to learn how to do this. This obviously took a team but what a treat to watch! very nice

  • Amazing, I especially like the camera mapping!

  • This video is wonderful, who made it?
