so... after having watched numerous times, I sat Devilyn on my lap and played this... she was transfixed. There must be something deeply intense to spark such interest and enjoyment in a two year old. :) You Rock Lady!
Oh Man Do I Love this painting! I love the swirls and especially the one on her forehead and on the eye she's holding! Let's me know what the eye represents or atleast that's my interrpetation. (Third eye) having such insight is a Gift from God. I love this painting. I actually needed it right now in my life. Sounds crazy but its so not! Lol. Excellent work Sis. It just keeps getting better...which I didn't know was even possible!
Well I've been looking forward to your next posting here and you didn't disappoint. This almost reminds me of the cover used for their eyes were watchin God. But the gift of sight from God is always a good thing and if you nuture it it grows truly. I like this piece
Mmm... indeed. profound, if you nurture it, it grows... I think maybe this marks the beginning of that nurturing you just spoke of. I always say, I never put much into it, to nurture that specific gift, it just always was... but, maybe it's time that I do.
I must say this painting is so refreshing. You can just feel the purity leaking out. Hmm, wonder why that is?!?! Its so smooth and natural.... The lighting is perfect. And most of all, them "metaphors" undoubtedly compliment your creativity. ...."bravo!"
REFRESHING! Something so much needed. It's the complete opposite of the hardship that I was pushing thru when I decided to let go and feel like this painting. I just replied to a comment and mentioned the childlike innocence that is very clear within this piece. You know me well, and you know how much strength it takes to hang onto that. Oh, and you know there is always a "message"! You know how we do! Thanks Goya
Thank you so much! I say this all the time, but I'm always shocked and happy when someone does. lol. I think keeping that humility is what gives the ability to paint (sometimes)with a bit of childlike innocence, even at the age of 30, and even after all of the events in life that threaten to take that from us all. I think we are all artist at heart! We all used to color and do crafts in our youth. I'm so excited today! I didn't expect any of these wonderful comments.
Im going back to school to continue the pursuit of my degree and I am taking an art class..I CANT WAIT! An avid art lover I dabble a little, but wanted to perfect it. Art is such a wonderful expression. I need to work on shadows and creating dimension but love learning. 5 stars golden lady!
Hi Dessa, as always you are a genius! I showed my 8 yr old daughter who is an aspiring artist & she says "Watching this was really cool and it shows that we artists have special sight!"
Awwe, that is sweeeeet! Wow... I am smiling from ear to ear! Thank you, and tell your daughter I said she is RIGHT! May she continue to nurture her gift along with mommy. ((Hugs))
Wow, beautiful. It looks like she's holding an eye to me. The gift of sight: insight (looking within)and foresight(looking forward)given the way she's holding it out in front of her. That's just my take. You should have your own show on PBS or something :)
LMAO, would you please tell PBS to Caaaaall Meeeee homey! lol. Just maybe if i had the time I'd pitch them somethin'! Okay, enough poops and giggles... You're view of this piece is on point. Thanks friend. You're so loyal to me. I appreciate you.
That is brilliant, shining from the inside out. I'm in awe. The song and the painting --paisley representatives as question marks and lively sparks--. And the song selection, oh.
Aw! Awe! Just like a good submersion into truth, we --all-- are. May I have this dance?
Candy: Who could not like it??? Actually, I used to date a girl who took up painting for awhile... she didn't stay with it, but her style reminds me a little bit of yours... if you look at the spoken word video of mine called "When I Come In A Church I Burst Into Flame" - there is a painting behind me that I think you might like. That's one she did. Peace... :)
