@lemonice2700 Not quite sure if this is what it's refering to but in some churches it is customary to baptise members in natural bodies of water (lakes, rivers, etc). Since the song starts out talking about the Mississippi, which is a rather muddy looking river, I assume it's saying she was baptised there.
