I do not agree with everything you say but u do have the right to say it. I am a fellow southerner and i call myself both an American and a Southerner. I fly both the American and Dixie flags proudly.
@danthemanschmidt There are many American flags. The Dixie flag is one of them. There is one main Federal Government flag though - a symbol of our subjugation here in the South. I'm glad you are proud of your heritage. It's time all Southerners stood together for our culture and independence.
@mtgal47, That's the typical pro-Federal attitude of liberty-hating people - if they disagree with you they want you put in prison or killed with some cruise missle. Such are the evil ways of the Empire.
Most people, even Southerners aren't aware that Sherman's first march of destruction occurred in Mississippi. He cut a 50 mile wide path of destruction from Vicksburg to my home town of Meridian. He went so far as to remark that the hamlet of Meridian would never again exist. It's infrastructure was up again in less than two months. In my house, the 4th symbolizes the fall of Vicksburg and the eventual capitulation of my state. January 9th is my Independence Day.
during the civil war the federal troops did destroy the southern states' farming sector. they literally burned down miles and miles of farming. back then agriculture was the primary economy of the southern states. the scorched earth policy of the federal troops were aimed to quickly defeat the south. if they destroyed the only source of income of the south they win.
I was born in South Carolina, but I have resided in Missouri for most of my life. Most of my family is rooted in Missouri, and we here in Clay county "little dixie" know all too much of federal atrocities.
I have also decided not to fly the flag of the American empire. I will fly a Texas and Confederate flags. In 1861 Texas left the Union and was forced back in at gun point and has been occupied ever sense.
id be fine with the south being independent but come on you lost the war, and its not like the north soldiers were devils like you describe them. God bless America. AND DAMN THE QUEEN
In South Caroina and Georgia the Federal troops under Sherman and other commanders certainly behaved inhumanely, little better than devils. They sought revenge for SC leaving their 'union' first. But there was nothing to avenge - SC wanted to go her own way, and the Feds should have permitted that instead of invading us and killing and raping people and burning towns.
Being southern is in the heart man. And yes the Union was no different than what the NWO is doing today as they basically ARE the NWO and the civil war was the first battle to attest this. They burned entire cities down, raped women, stole, destroyed food crops so that people would starve, took over houses etc. Not to mention that Grant kept his slaves until the end of the war, and that the North would kill the slaves off instead of "freeing" them. Yeah sounds pretty evil to me.
Normally when presented a seemingly off-topic and pointless comment I'll ask you to explain, but in this case:

Back on topic... having a viewpoint or goal that isn't commonly accepted or is considered radical isn't a thing of the past. Simply making changes to the current system would get nothing done.
We certainly do need change. I hope it is peceful though. The term 'revolution' is a bit negative though since it normally implies violence - which is not at all what I want. I hope we can leave the tyrannical Feds without blood being shed just as many formerly occupied republics left the USSR as it fell and broke apart.
Revolution does often have negative connotations, but when I hear revolution images of Ghandi and MLK Jr.'s actions come to mind. I'm right there with you.

Great Read: The Debates of the Constitution. Collection of 4 books with essays, debates in the press and letters. Very good. Most anti-federalists were duped into thinking that they were congregating to revise the Articles of Confederation. The Federalists like Hamiliton had other thoughts. Did you know that Ben Franklin eloquently stated he held his nose when signing the Constituion? I can send more details for those that wish more info. Insightful commentary RSA.
this is interesting why did Ben Franklin hold his nose while signing the constitution. Also the Bill of Rights many debated on. Jaynick2000 Please explain why He didnt want to sign the constitution
You will hear "DEMOCRACY!" I laugh to myself when I hear ppl say that. We WERE supposed to live in a REPUBLIC! Democracy was only left to the house of commons/house of reps. In 1913 our REPUBLIC WAS DESTROYED: the Federal Reserve Act, the IRS Act, the dubious surroundings of the passing of the 16 (fed personal income tax) & 17th amendements (fed Senators were then demo elected instead of republican elected via the State Legislatures). The 17th amendments took the power/focus from the States
Those war atrocities against the southern people were horrific and this is why no one today is taught that in schools. Horrible. Secrets held intact. Btw I like that shirt, you should wear more of that style instead of tshirts. I hope you feel better real soon.
I was raised overseas and seen many countries, and this is the best one to live in today. So I am proud of the US even though I hate her politics. Compared to others, this is the best country that I feel to live in today. I do wish it was Confederate 4th of July though.
I'm a native of Boston, but my family didn't come to this continent until around 1910 - so I am not as connected with what happened during the Civil War.
I have lived in the south, and I could go on about the "yankee" ribbing I got, but I did learn a bit about why there is the resentment for the north, even today.
You're no enemy of mine, and I respect your desire to see your state gain it's independence. I sure wouldn't mind if Massachusetts severed itself from this tyrannical govt.

Typical. As I tried to explain, 'my country' is South Carolina - not the empire. If you support the Feds occupying, torturing and killing people and so on, fine. But I do not. I want no part of the Empire.
By the way, the Feds have half of the entire world's military budget. Half. And they have over 800 foreign military bases. George Washington warned against 'engtanling allliances' and such. But then, I guess that doesn't matter to you. You support the Empire no matter what, huh?
Same goes for North Carolina Brother. We currently have more Federal troops than any other Southern State--a very precarious situation for both our Carolinas as well as Virginia. Jeff Davis was our last legal American President. Take care and God Bless!!
An 'American nationalist'? There is not an American nation. I don't follow your logic how you can be a Southern nationalist and also an American nationalist. Perhaps you meant that you are pro-American but a Southern nationalist?
I'm a Virginian second. I am SOVEREIGN CITIZEN first. I am a Southron third.
I am an "american" (small "a") solely from residing on the North American continent. Not much I can do about that. I am an "American" because of the despicable and illegally ratified 14th Amendment.
It's not my nation. A nation is a people. A country is a land. My people are the Southron people. My land is South Carolina. I want to be free and to have nothing to do with the abomination that is called Washington, DC. SC is not free. We are not independent. The Feds tax us. The Feds use our stolen money to fight foreign wars. The Feds regulate virtually every aspect of our lives. The Feds force a fiat currency upon us. The Feds are scum man. I want them out of SC.
I also want freedom from the empire here in Minnesota! I have a dream that someday Minnesota and all our neighbor states will secede from the union and form a new republic that could stand up to the tyrants in washington. Unfortunately too many people in this region are totally addicted to big government control and handouts. Good luck to any state that can get away from D.C., as long as your people have enough natural resources to survive without U.S. federal aid!
My fiance's great great great grandfather was murdered by U.S. troops, as well as, some other men in Pretty Ridge, Arkansas. The town was subsequently burnt to the ground and that's how it remained; just west a ways from Helena.
Being that many current and former British colonies enjoy far greater economic freedom than what we here in the "land of the free" (ha!!!, what a joke) enjoy, maybe we would have been better off under the Union Jack.
Why do they only poll republicans? Where I'm from(Gaston) and where I live now(Saint Matthews) there are countless democrats who want to be free too. SC has always had a large confederal democrat population. Poor folks and black folks tend to be democrat and we got plenty of both. I myself am both poor and mixedrace but I have no allegiance to any party.
They poll everyone it's just that GOPers are far more likely to support secession at the moment. In Georgia 33% of GOPers favoured it, 15% of independents and 5% of Democrats.
Also the fourth of July does in fact have significance in Southern Nationalism. I'm sure it would have still been celebrated in the Confederate States.
im flying two flags this july 4th weekend as i always do, the Confederate battle flag and the Kentucky state flag. the united states to me is at an all time low, especially with the new communist Obama regime.

The "republic" was not formed until 1790, when Rhode Island ratified the Constitution. Until then it was a Confederation of SEPARATE STATES. Also, Virginia almost split their vote for ratification.
None the less the Republic was formed by the Revolution, I love my country, but I love my constitution more than anything this country has to offer me. I view myself as American first, but none the less a believer in sovereign states and the individual rights of the states. I think in order to gain back our independence northerners and southerners must put their differences aside for at least a small amount of time to fight back. that's what happened then, and should happen now.
Agree with the facts you put forth. One thing that is not mentioned is the international banking interests from the Bank of England, Rothschilds, Mellons, Warburgs and such. These banksters antangonized the Revolution, the War of 1812, the Civil War and all wars since. What I mean by this, is that England's and higher authorities have never let go of their grasp.
