Serj hits some epic notes particularly at 2:51. I don't think the band as a whole hates MTV but Daron definitely does as well as any popular media exposure. There probably were some arguments backstage before and after this performance.

The reason he doesn't sound good after 2002 is that he sings Soad songs wrong. And I can't realize why he does that. And in 2011 tour, he can't make it to a whole concert with screams and shouts, so he doesn't scream at all. But he is not 30 years old anymore. He is mature now and his voice is too.
