  • One of the films that I have on my list, but haven't gotten around to is the new version of "Dawn of the Dead" (2004). I really liked the original version (1978) and I thought it had an interesting (and funny) perspective of death and mindless material consumerism.

  • @henrycbrennan The '04 version is actually one of the better remakes. It doesn't have quite the message as the '78 version IMHO but the '04 version is definitely worth watching. Thanks for the comment.

  • This one I saw three times in the theater. It is a great movie, even with Whitaker's droopy eyes.

  • I don't know why I've never seen this. I think I'd read a review in which Ghost Dog was depicted as being a bit of a loser and somehow mentally deficient. Made me feel sad so I kinda avoided it. I love indie films with their metaphors. Now you have me intrigued. Traditional Mafia ways dying out, the changeover from the old ways to the new. Yeah, I can get into that.

  • I've really wanted to see this as well! Thanks for reminding me about it!

  • if I find it I'll deffinatly watch it

  • I really liked this one but the language in it prevents me from getting it. The way I saw it was the Mobsters were more wanna bes. Behind in their rent and other things really tell that they either declined and times passed them by or they never were.

  • @Toxked Yeah There is a definitely a passed their prime sort of feel. The whole out with the old and in with the new theme going on. The mobsters definitely were past their prime. Hard to talk about it with out spoilers lol. one of the better indy films.
