@925jdb If you work on a construction site or up on a roof where you need your batteries to last you all day long then the very expensive DeWalt's and makita's are a good choice. If you only need to drive 200 or so screws at a time the NEXTEC battery is good enough. The best part of the NEXTEC is you can buy 5 or 6 of them for the price of one DeWalt lithium battery. For the homeowner six NEXTEC batteries will power all the tools they need.
@925jdb How do you know? Do you own one of these? For large projects your Makita does have more torque, but that's not always a good thing around the house.
At less than half the price of the Makita, this Craftsman RAID is a much better value for most homeowners.
@ohnevergoingtoquit I use my impact drivers myself when to work on small engines and other light nut and bolt jobs. These are really designed for woodworking, but a lot of us are finding out that they have more power than the 1/4 and 3/8 air ratchets and are much faster. For auto work never trust them to tighten a fastener correctly. The 12 volt one like this NEXTEC are around 65 ft lbs of torque. (800 in lbs) Use a breaker bar or torque wrench to get it right.
nice video im acraftsman fan mysefl i buy craftsman and skil and bosch know im going to get mysefl one of the inpact drive i was going to get one but i did not but know im amthe one ill get will be for my c3 kit

@143mark6275 Both of the NEXTEC impact drivers have twice the power (800 in lbs) of a good drill so they will be able to drive those screws.
