  • @NADAL6996 May Allah Bless You Ameen Sumameen.

  • We are one!

  • @ezrail2007, you claim to be "Rumi people", yet you can't even begin to understand what Rumi is talking about. In his Mathnawi, he has innumerable referances to the Qur'an and to the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (saws), in fact his entire works is inspired by the Qur'an! I know you've been brainwashed in the west to hate muslims and to think that muslims are terrorists, but Rumi was a prime example of a muslim. Don't speak about things you have no slightest idea about.

  • Subhaan Allah!! Subhan Allah!! Subhaan Allah!!!

    Love speaking for itself!!!

  • Rumi's approach to Islam is further clarified in this quatrain: Man banda-ye qur'ānam, agar jān dāram man khāk-e rah-e muhammad-e mukhtāram gar naql konad joz īn kas az goftāram bēzāram azō waz-īn sokhan bēzāram. I am the servant of the Qur'an as long as I have life. I am the dust on the path of Muhammad, the Chosen One. If anyone quotes anything except this from my sayings, I am quit of him and outraged by these words.

  • @guisepppe

    a more in-depth examination of his original work which so very few have ever seen, reveals the filthy undertow of religious corruption, his work's spiritual, almost never devoted to a religion. His words have been tampered with through the years. all U need to know can be found in these line;

"Fill your cup with wine and your heart with love

Say my name in every breath; be forgotten

Forget the caller, discard the called

    Get lost in the call"

  • i dont think the essence of Rumi's poems have anything to do with any particular religion...

As you will find with most, if not all great universal teachings & insights.

To quote Rumi even from this video

''this pain is not for those who come as LOVERS. you a re easy to find here.. u are in the breeze..'

''with lamps in hand, the sheiks and mullahs roam the dark alleys of these towns not finding what they seek.. you are the essence of he essence, the intoxication of love.''

    Universal language.

  • RUMI GIVES YOU THE BEST ANSWER:

"I am the servant of the Qur'ân [man banda-yé qur'ân-am] as long as

    I have life.

I am the dust on the path of Muhammad, the Chosen one

    [muHammad-e mukhtâr].

If anyone quotes anything except this from my sayings,

I am quit of him and outraged by these words.

--Mawlânâ Rumi's Quatrain No. 1173, translated by Ibrahim Gamard and Ravan Farhadi (in "The Quatrains of Rumi," 2008, p. 2)

  • Rumi was a great poet, and a man of vision.. however people can still be at fault..

Rumi gave a LOT of GREAT universal poetry...

However , in my opinion, that quote you gave is either a mistake by Rumi, or was falsified.

Many people have become enlightened men of Vision without ever opening a Quran. And if you don't believe that, you are naive & disrespectful to other cultures, paths and ways

Stop trying to twist universal truth to suit your own agenda

  • @MysticReverie, please, you think that's the only poem about Qur'an and Muhammad? By your logic then almost the entire Mathnawi is falsified? I'm sorry to say it but you are ignorant mate, ignorant and arrogant. It's impossible for you to fathom how a guy like Rumi could be a muslim isn't it? Yet, Rumi was one of the best examples of how a muslim should be! Dear "mystic", it takes a bit more than a few badly translated poems on youtube to understand Rumi, and mysticism in general.

  • @urbanguru not at all dear..

mysticism in itself is beyond the trappings of religion.

My only issue was with people who try to use great people like rumi and narrow down thier message, saying its only muslims who will truly benefit..

nonsense, and tarnishing rumi's mystical status.

I could say the same about anyone who claimed krishna is only for hindus..

    its just rubbish

  • @CulturalMyths, (1/6) I'm not saying that nobody but muslims will benefit from Rumi, but you are missing the entire point and you will NOT grasp his essence if you are trying to avoid the Qur'an or sayings of prophet Muhammad, by saying something like: oh no this has nothing to do with Islam, or even religion for that matter, uh oh, we know that religion sux and it's bad stuff, etc. Sufism is _the core_ of Islam. Islam is the outer layer which protects the core.

  • (2/6) Now, I know most of you westerners have been brainwashed to hate Islam and everything about Islam, that's why you are trying to disassosiate Rumi from it, when in fact Islam was the only thing that Rumi talked about. Islam is _the path_ which leads you to the Beloved. Islam is the protector of your inner "traveler". Your "traveler", meaning moral, needs to be protected if you want to come closer to the Beloved.

  • (3/6) Islam is not narrow even though you've been conditioned to think that, Islam is a sea whos depth has no end. And when I say Islam, I also mean the uncorropted versions of Judaism and Christianity which were before Islam, in fact they are all the same religion, they are the same thing, coming from the same source, to guide humanity to the Beloved, and to protect them on their paths to Him.

  • (4/6) You can't find Him whithout knowing how to protect your inner self. This is why we have some rules on how to get out of the darkness. Your nafs (ego) will lead you astray if you get out of the boundaries of these rules. Charity, dhikr (rememberance of God), discipline of the nafs, fasting, serving others, silence... are all practices which aim to protect or purify your soul, so that you may enjoy the closnes to the Beloved.

  • (5/6) This is why both the Qur'an and Rumi constantly urge us no to fall pray to the nafs, cause it WILL lead us astray from the path to Him. Qur'an constantly asks us: are they alike, those who see and those who are blind? (paraphrasing). Of course they are not alike. Do you think that by partying and geting drunk is the way to the Creator? No, but constantly striving against ones nafs is! In Islam this is called greater jihad. Uh oh, I said jihad, uh oh... somebody call the FBI... lol.

  • (6/6) In Mathnawi there are countless, and I do really mean countless, qoutes from the Qur'an and practices from Muhammad. I wonder why?! Try and REALLY ask your self that! I'm only reacting to this guy mysticreverie that said the quote was "falsified" or "a mistake by Rumi"... I'm sorry but it's just to ridicilous,it's like this guy has only read one poem of him,and now he is here to lecture us! It's actually quite funny. You should read "Fihi ma fihi".It is a collection of Rumi's talks as an imam

  • @urbanguru its not as funny as how these peopel in here start to comment about ' If anyone quotes anything except this from my sayings, I am quit of him and outraged by these words' and you tell me they are not trying to cram it into an islamic box?

And mr 'guru' if youactually bothered to raed what i said.. I said it was 'either a mistake by rumi, or falsified' meaning, even if he did say it, it doesnt mean he's right. Rumi is not above mistakes.

  • @MysticReverie and im nto above mistake either..

however, If Rumi acknowledges that the core of mysticism can be reached by many paths, and not just the islamic approach, then ok.. but if he is 'quit of those' who feel the love & mysticism in his words, but dont feel any need to follow the quran, well...

anyway, my initial statement was to the people in here who use him as an outright vehicle to promote all of islam only... and they probably arent even sufis.

  • @MysticReverie forget about that "guru" stuff, it's a nickname i came up with many years ago, now is a totally different story. I am not a guru, I am nothing, I know nothing, I am a specc of dust, and I want to be even smaller. I'm sorry I reacted like I did :). Have a nice day :).

  • @urbanguru thx for your informative commentars...

  • @urbanguru well as was stated on the cultural myths reply.. I dont think i need to add to that.

How devout and orthodox a muslim rumi was, i cant say for sure...

    however..

when you try to cram mysticism into any particular religion, then you are missing the point....

and 'guru'.. please dont make so many assumptions about me.

  • @MysticReverie, I'm not craming anything into anything, it's more like you are doing that. Every religion is coming from the same source, though some religions have become corrupted they still contain many elements of Truth. According to the Qur'an, first man on earth was a prophet, leading people to God. The Qur'an also says that there have been 124000 prophets through the entire history... you do the math. They are all from Al-Haqq, The Truth.

  • در ان نفس کہ بمیرم، در ارزو تو باشم۔

  • 2:10 Best. till the end

  • molana never brought up the word allah he always used "khoda" or "parvardegar in his poems.

  • I am the servant of the Qur'an as long as I have life.

I am the dust on the path of Muhammad, the Chosen One.

If anyone quotes anything except this from my sayings,

I am quit of him and outraged by these words

  • Comment removed

  • have you read his poems in Persian in most of them it is Allah

when they translate it they put something else

  • i know.they make most times uncorrect translations.some populists make business with rumi and without god...they play with the heart and with the love of people...

  • It doesn't matter. He was still in submission to the will of Allah.

  • just beautiful. Grazie!

  • Thank you Guiseppe

  • so beautiful, merci beaucoup, vagean ziba bud.
