Because when Donna was being transported back in time and she laughed and said that her explanation was just something the Doctor would say. She doesn't care about Donna's life, all she cares about is the Doctor. She laughed when Jack and Martha were prepared to tear the Earth apart with the Austehagen key and the death star.

On the doomsday episode when Rose almost gets sucked into the void it's really sad because you can hear her screams but the Doctors screams are just so much more powerful and louder and they out do her screams, which really shows that he deepjy cares about her. Just had to point that out.
