  • For the first you shoud do U f R' f'

  • @eppley12 but thst kinda awkard

  • or you could just do a doubele layer turn once to insert it.

  • great tutorial, thank ou!

  • Instead of the first one, just do d/Dw L U' L'

  • @collinbxyz dw moves count as rotations

  • @collinbxyz dw moves count as rotations

  • the second one aint worthy

  • sweet!!!

  • You could just do U R' F' U2 F U R for that first case. Algs from the fused cube FTW

  • @mynameisdarthtater its so you dont have to do awkward moves

  • Do you really use the last tricks (like 2:20) in your solves? Because i find it more convenient to do a cube rotation.

  • nice video man i rotate the cube a lot

which totally skrews up my look ahead

    THANKS!!

  • G-R-E-A-T Video! 5 star!

  • Great video dude, you explain things very concisely and clearly. Thumbs up and I definitely learned something!

  • the last move from the first algorithm is M not M'

Thanks a lot !! this was exactly what I was looking for :D

  • @Kostas1601 - Actually, M moves follow L moves. ( M is the same direction as L, M' is the same as L')

  • Hey, Weston, can you make a video something like this but more OH friendly please? thanks

  • For the first pair, there's another insertion you might find useful: (U2) R2 F R' F' R

  • First person ive seen using M moves for F2L. Very, very nice insertions though :)

  • yea but zbf2l is only suitable if u use cll then edge permutation on your last layer and i think its unnessesary to use edge control algorithms

  • @skatercuber4life

Its nessesary. You lower the amount of cases you can get greatly, so faster recognition time. And, the 2 looks OLLs are faster then the 1 look OLLs. ANd, you can use COLL with ZBF2L, and then the only other alg you need to do its a quick edge cycle/switcher PLL. Sure, it may not be worth it, but it may save you a very small amount of time (about .5-1 seconds in total im guessing) even if you are very advanced

  • thanks! this video has helped me tremendously.

  • Do you use those insertion on your solving?

  • westonian u rock!

arent u actually doing somehow a partial zbf2l method? i´m learning zbf2l thru one of ur videos, and it roks man!

    thanx for the videos!

    happy new year!

  • DUDE YOU ARE SOO ASAIN JUST LIKE ME

  • that cubes soumds likes its very good

  • So using the first two at least is quicker than roating the cube in the long run? I'll give it a try. I knew all the tricks in your previous vid but I still can't get past sub 20, I had to switch to cross on the bottom rather than on the side.

  • @thisisthegloaming

    Its alot faster

  • Wow, that's pretty cool. Hopefully I can drop my time if I keep learning this f2l tricks.

  • Comment removed

  • what type of cube do you use???

  • this cube is an edison

  • how good are edisons im considering buying one and thats alot for ever advanced method tutorials and such i use your vids to learn how to do full oll

  • well not all oll but the free olls

  • atleast for me

  • lower case f is faster fofr non rotation i think

  • awseome vid monkeydude1313 sent me here

  • Are those fluorescent stickers?

  • yup

theyre also called bright stickers. I think thats what cubesmith calls them

  • Wow, I'll take those back slot insertions--very nice agls.

  • f2l is the art

need more algos 2 learn )

  • Rotations own wasted moves. Only 1 rotation is necessary per F2L anyway.

  • but like i said,

its good for edge controlling if you use fridrich.

from what i know though, you use petrus though.

  • What is your best time man?

  • On the first one you should have done:

    y M' U R U' Rw'

    OLL skip :P Nice tutorial!!

  • you going to nationals?

  • of course im going

    lol

  • Also works for the Siamese cube!

  • thanks for the f2l tutorials! they're very helpful and now i average sub20! :)

  • wow! that's damn fast! i still need a cube rotation sometimes, but i think this will change now^^

  • You only covered the back slots! What about rotationless insert for front slots?

You use the same alg I do. :D

  • lol

    i know

ill put it in an description sometime later maybe,

  • badmephisto has some algs for rotationless insert for front slots.

  • wow, u know alot for f2l. how fast do you average? maybe i can apply this to my times =p

  • lol

    i dont know THAT MUCH.

i always make a new video when i figure out something new though.

    i average 15-16 right now

  • nice
