Ideon never destroyed even one universe, that's misinformation spread by people who have never actually seen all of Ideon and the movies. At the end of the series it destroys a galaxy at MOST and at the end of Be Invoked it destroys only a solar system. There are clearly Galaxies and stars still existing when the cast is floating around in spirit form, they even follow Messiah to an existing planet to begin again. Ideon can't teleport, travel to or affect other universes.

IMHO, GL went kind of cheap going with the 1 massive uber boss at the end move. The battle was no doubt awesome but it begs the question, if the end boss was so uber then why would he let the main character get so far. At least in Gunbuster, the enemy didn't know about humans till later and even then it started an attack straight out. It ultimately ended up with the enemy amassing all its might in one huge assault. There was no uber bosses just uber enemies.

TTGL's 'teeth' are similar size. A. Spiral shoots tendrils about as thick as it's teeth at CGL. CGL = Moon sized. Yet tendrils shown after impact, to be only about the thickness of one of CGL's limbs. Tooth of galaxy sized bot would be 1,000,000,000+ times larger than a moon. THUS -NOT- galaxy sized. Period.
